When I try to create new shipping labels, ebay is not presenting me with an option to select today (Sunday, November 4th) as the shipping date. There are posts offices near me that are open on Sunday. The soonest option I am seeing is tomorrow, November 5th.
I have tried to change it in bulk shipping, classic, and the newer format and am running into the same issue. I have shipped on Sundays before and this is the first time I have had this issue. I once accidently selected the following day's date on an item I needed to ship and the post office refused to take it. I have a lot of items to ship and I'd really like to take care of this today. Anyone know why this is happening or what I can do?

That PO clerk is a knucklehead. Ask to speak with the supervising knucklehead.
The label is bought and paid for; the fact that it's dated one day in advance is irrelevant. It has no bearing on the shipment data; all they need to do is scan it in and send it on its way.
You could also just drop the package in their drop box and skip the whole confrontation, although that would probably really mess with their heads when they collect the packages. ("Boss, look! We're getting packages from the future!")

So? Just set the date for tomorrow and don't worry about it. Sunday is not a business day, even if you have open post offices. Sounds like converting a mole hill into a mountain.

You could purchase the labels through PayPal, which does offer today as a shipping date.

Sounds like your post office personnel need some heavy retraining then.

One man show here, relatively new seller.

May not be the personnel that create the problem.
Could be the software/hardware being used.
Hand held scanners doo not care, but other setups may reject. I know I have had a "stale date" label rejected at a POS equipped office. Not sure how it would respond to a label with tomorrows date. Maybe like a post dated check at the bank.

Today is Sunday, November 4th.
You won't actually be taking it to the PO until tomorrow. Monday the 5th.
Monday the 5th is the correct mailing date ... not today's date ...
I'm really not understanding the problem here????????

Perhaps you missed this in the original post: "There are posts offices near me that are open on Sunday. ... . I have a lot of items to ship and I'd really like to take care of this today."

Ah ... I read that wrong ... my bad.
Then again, PO's that are open on Sunday should be used to Monday dated labels ...
The label is valid and paid for. There should be no issue 😞
