So one of the potential buyers asked me the following and I am wondering if its a scam.
Can you change the box and write on the package "Defected merchandise sold for parts" price $ 73
And ship to israel?
I will obviously pay for the shipment
I told the buyer that I do not ship internationally and now they are asking if I can do this for an address in United States.
Only reason I wonder if this is a scam is because I still do not understand why the buyer wants to mark a brand new item worth $500 as a defected merchandise priced at $73.
Can someone help please?

To avoid import duties at their end. The US address will be a reshipper.
Deny their request and cease all contact.

"Dear potential buyer,
I'm sorry, I cannot accommodate your request.
Thank you,
Seller"
Send that, then add their name here so they cannot buy http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?bidderblocklogin
Buyers who ask sellers to lie on customs forms so they can dodge their legit taxes owed generally are not ones you want to deal with. If the lie to their gov't, they'll lie to you.

Hmmm... Interesting.
I was only considering it because this is the first offer I have received but this does seem risky for a $500 item so I will deny the request.
Thank you guys

If you want to give more specifics, you can say that that is against international law.
