My store's name is Rainbow Dolls, so it really sux I can't change font color any more. I hate this new listing system. It's almost as arduous as etsy's now. After listing 2 things, I just want to go drink. Now I can't list any more things tonight because I spent so much time on these. I really think eBay wants to lose money... Adding to this rant a question: Are we locked into the selling method we selected? It pre-selects Priority for me with the weight as 2 lbs. I'm selling 9 oz. Care Bears so **bleep**... This is all annoying as hell.

@Anonymous Gee I hope you feel better after having a few.... If sellers could change font color it would be disastrous as someone will always think their color choice looks amazing but in reality is difficult to read for the buyer. Making it uniform creates consistency amongst the entire platform.
No you are not locked into only one weight or manner in which to ship. Each listing is supposed to be changed according to the item you are listing, weight and dimensions of shipping container. How are those drinks going for ya....

While I wholeheartedly agree with lamber9347 that it is not a good idea, I also disagree with your premise that it can not be done.
(By the way, don't bother to double check. Once I got the screen shot I changed it back to black)

Are you using the app or the website?
Ditch the app and use the website. Or on the website, go to the top right of the page and switch from the quick listing tool to the advanced/business tool. @Anonymous

Are you talking about the title or your listing description? I can still change the color in the description.
I remember when you could choose all sorts of borders and themes. I thought that was distracting.

I have to admit I am old school, maybe the eyes are not what they once were, but anything other than black or dark blue against any pale background makes it hard for me to read.
Red for highlights maybe, but don't get me started on the black backgrounds infused with coloured fonts LOL
I do understand the OP though, Rainbow kind of suggests a colourful experience so understand the frustration if it can't be done.

I've been using the website. Thank you - I'll try it!! They've changed so much and added so much lately, it becomes supremely confusing!

I was up until 4 in the morning. That's how it went lol. I got banned from twitter on two accounts for being a total goofball.

I was able to switch to the "new listing tool" on some of the listings when I went back to edit them as a test. It would not give me any more font options, though. Is that what you mean, wastingtime101? This was on the upper right when I went to revise my listing. The newest two listings I did with this all-new format didn't have that option at all either. All of my older listings do let me go to advanced settings to change font. IDK, maybe someone can figure it all out. I sure can't. Will keep trying! At least I can copy and paste from previous listings to get some color options.

You can make templates out of them which would keep your settings, also. At the bottom of the listing after you complete (using one of your existing listings), just hit 'save as template' and it should save your font settings.

I'm not seeing the business tool anywhere. Maybe because I don't have an actual store account (do they still do store and non-store accounts any more?)? Weh.
It's not a big deal. I'm more bummed about the fact that so many of us spoke up about wanting the classic view option; it apparently didn't work. I get that they're trying to stream-line it to make it less work, but then you have to go through more prompts (like asking if we want to promote the listing, gradually drop price, etc.). The shipping section sux because I offer "free" shipping, then factor the shipping into my item cost. They intentionally try to make you do an auction listing and add best offers. I had " auction" de-selected, and I still had to end the listing and re-do it to make it a BIN listing. Wow.... I am documenting all of my work here just in case someone with power in this program stops by.

Advanced listing tool - I believe this should work: http://www.ebay.com/sl/sell?sr=wnstart It's not a 'business' tool as far as I know, it's just the same Sell Your Item form I've always used. You don't need a store or anything.
Hope the link works - it worked for me. If you make templates of your existing listings (you can do it by category - just label the template the way you like), you an access them through the drop-down box. eBay will bring up all kinds of listings to copy, but just scroll to the bottom to make your own listing. But I'd use templates - it makes it so much easier and you have a permanent copy of your listings.

^ Thanks! I'm not sure about making templates. I'm very not good at this stuff. I'll manage, though, somehow. Thanks, again.

Oh, heck no. The new tool is one of the worst things to ever happen on eBay. I'm dreading the day it's forced on us because it's a huge smelly time suck.
It's hard to help when we can't see which listing tool you're using. Here's a screenshot from the advanced (renamed by eBay last year as the business) listing tool:
Is that what you're seeing @Anonymous? If yes, then click advanced editing on the right there and you'll see this:

The Rolling Stones had a song in their 1969 Let It Bled album that might apply - "You Can't Always Get What You Want"
