So I sold an item via auction on January 4th. The buyer didn't pay or reply to my messages for over a week, so I opened an unpaid item claim on the 11th. Buyer finally messaged me back on the 14th and said they don't want to pay for the item because they have poor reading comprehension.
I should've cancelled the order then and there, but I'd never had to file a UIC and I thought eBay was reviewing the case (I've since realized that's not how it works). The problem is that my buyer just paid out of nowhere on the 28th, and when they did, they chose the wrong shipping address. I'm trying to cancel the transaction, but eBay is saying I can't cancel it because there's an ongoing case - however, when I open the resolution center, it says the case is closed because the buyer paid.
How can I fix this? If I ship to the address provided I'm sure the buyer will file an item not received claim, and if I ship to the address they messaged me I'm opening myself up to a possible incorrect address scam. Can I just refund through Paypal and then try to cancel the transaction on eBay, or do I need to call customer service?
