Can't Purchase Shipping Label on Ebay

Sold an item tonight and when I try to click the "Purchase Shipping Label" link, nothing happens.  I see a message at the top of the page that says - "Please be aware that USPS is experiencing issues at the moment. We apologise [ebay's misspelling, not mine] for any inconvenience and if affected, ask that you try again later."  I tried it several times with no luck. Finally went on Ship Station and had no issue. Is Ebay having a shipping label glitch right now?

Hard to say if it is an Ebay issue or a USPS issue.  Or what the heck the issue actually is at this point other than there is a message on the screen.

     I had to print some labels this morning, 10/29/2023 and while the red message was on the eBay side of the house I don't purchase my labels through eBay but use Pirate Ship instead. No issues with Pirate Ship on either the purchase of the labels or the interface connection with USPS so I don't believe it is a USPS issue.

Thanks for the advice. Although Red dot and message still there, I went in and printed my shipping labels (both GA and Priority) with no problems. Worked fine. Thanks again.

This issue is still happening. When is eBay going to fix this problem?

Well, it is still not working for me. Clicking on the link to purchase the label does not work.

My bet is that it's on USPS' side. Their website seems to have constant issues-- at least twice a week I'll go to check the tracking on international packages that are in transit to me only to get a big red message telling me that tracking currently isn't functioning.

I was able to purchase a label just now, and when I check the tracking it says "Label created, not in system."

I should've used Pirate Ship, and will if anymore orders come in tonight.

Either way, no one should attempt to purchase USPS labels thru ebay right now.

Mine says tracking # provided (with the tracking #)..........which is what it usually says.......until it gets to the PO........

But that's when you view the tracking on ebay. If you actually go to USPS website and check the tracking it says "Label created, not in system."

This is a serious problem if sellers are handing off packages to USPS that the system has no record of.

@gamersbaystore................it hasn't been handed off to the PO yet ( at least mine, printed today, to be sent tomorrow)..........it's just the label has been printed and the tracking number assigned.  When it's scanned in at the PO, it will show "in possession of USPS"......or something like that.  The PO has the information, otherwise there would be no tracking # at all.......

Its working now! Now it says "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item", which is what it should state.

Now something wrong with ebay's boards, very slow to load pages here.

I have no idea who's fault it is, nor does it likely matter.  The connection USPS has to Ebay would not be the same as it is for Pirate Ship.  Similar likely, but not the same as the sites are different.
