Ok, so lately I have very few, close to zero offers or sales on Ebay, BUT I got a lovely offer for $5! I declined the offer, but I also happened to realize the listing was displaying FREE shipping. I went into change it, but it gave me a message. The message was something about , "you can not change this, since its part of a sale that includes free shipping". First off, I'm pretty sure I did not select free shipping for this listing. I'm also pretty sure, my 10% sale does not include free shipping.
I then started to notice something very strange. It appeared as if most, if not all my items were displaying free shipping. I started to panic, and ended the 10% promotion/sale, and luckily it fixed the free shipping problem. Am I missing something here? Has something changed? Did I accidentally select something when I was creating a sale?
Had I not noticed this, I'm thinking I could have potentially ended up losing a bunch of money(although I have zero sales anyways), or upsetting buyers. I mean, yes I do need sales, but I lose enough money on here as it is, so I most certainly can not include free shipping for ALL my listings! Anyone else experience this? Maybe a glitch? I went on the Ebay chat, but they seemed clueless. This is just about the last straw for me.

There is toggle on the 'marketing' page where you start 'sales' and it must've been toggled over to give 'free shipping'.
Check for it next time before you 'finish' creating a sale.

A) You mistakenly offered free shipping when you created the listings.
Nothing wrong with that. I think we've all done it before.
You have to double check you listings to make sure everything it correct before going live.
B) You can blame ebay and say it was a glitch.
I would just fix the errors and move on.
Good luck!

Ok, thanks, the interesting thing is I've done this exact promotion for quite some time. Never had this happen before. I don't even recall seeing anything about free shipping options. I'll have to look at it again shortly and closely analyze what I'm doing/selecting, but it kind of feels like something was automatically "checked" to try to opt me into it. And if that's the case, that's just not right. Hopefully it was just my mistake them.

Just wanted to let you know...I just viewed your store as clicked select "free shipping only" and dozen items still show free shipping (so you may want to change that).
