Can a buyer put back in cart items ebay cancel orders on?

I had a buyer want 3 of the items I sell. They put in cart for combined shipping the items on June 30. Never got email about it. Found out about sending invoice on July 3. Let buyer know about not knowing and let them know I would send it out later that day or on the 4th. Ebay canceled the orders just as I was going to send invoice. Can buyer put the items back in cart?

If items are just in a cart, they are not orders yet. If they buyer committed to purchase and requested total and it was 4 days of not being paid for  it would be an automatic unpaid cancellation per ebay's new unpaid process.

Shame on ebay for not letting me know before doing it. Money would have helped paying my ulities.
