I have a feeling others asked before but I think it'd be a good question to ask.
If anyone wants elaboration, I'll give an example. What if I wanted to sell some PlayStation games with some Star Wars Galactic Heroes? (selling video games with action figures/toddler toys, whatever you would consider Galactic Heroes to be) could I do that? I have a feeling that if the answer was yes then it'd probably be a while before someone would want to buy it or something. I'm interested to hear what you all say about this.

Yes you can. You can sell diapers and diamonds together if you so choose. The question would be why would you list unrelated items together.

Yeah, good point, why would I? I'm wondering because if someone were to hypothetically do this, then how'd it get attention besides can't you just put listings in one category each? (I never sold anything before and I've never seen anyone sell unrelated items together to my recollection, that's why I thought I'd ask)

No, you can put a listing in a second category for a fee, and when it sells you pay double commission to eBay because it’s in 2 categories

Interesting, makes sense. Yeah I probably won't ever do such a thing, it was just a thought on my mind. Thought I'd get as much info as possible as I just got a printer today and look forward to selling some things of mine sometime.

The other issue is each category has its' own item specifics. It is difficult to try to list bundled items, even when they are all the genre or type of item, as the item specifics, while recognizing "bundles" per se, are not set up to collect the data for each item individually that are needed for search.
Also, if the 2 categories have different fees, the highest fee would apply to all items. Video games has a higher fee than Toys. I know your example was a hypothetical, but just using it as an example.
Good luck. Be safe!

If an item is listed in two categories, then there will be at least one insertion fee that's not free, and the fees for any listing upgrades (bold, subtitle, etc.) are doubled. BUT the final value fee is NOT doubled.

For sellers who don't have a Store subscription, the FVF rate is the same for both of those categories.

You might just luck out and find that one buyer who just happens to be looking for diapers and diamonds. 😉

Hello,Basically different items listed together classify as a "Mixed Lot" which you can indicate in your listing
What you stated; video games and toys are two different categories with different fees
Example: atari games, playstation games,x-box games together as mixed lot
Secondarily;galactic heroes,gi joe,barbie dolls,together as mixed lot
Mixed lots are fine as long as the items are of the same categorie
Unless things have changed, that is your best bet due to the difference in category classification of items (video games/galactic heroes)

Awesome response! But there was no gently used glass eye so will have to pass. The right buyer is out there so hang in hon!

You can no rules say you can't. However, suppose your supermarket was selling a package of chicken legs and tent stakes?

Not real familiar to know if the two items are related but most likely the person who wants the Galactic heroes will not also want the Star Wars, vice versa. I would sell them separately.
