I see many other people selling them, you might try using Sell Similar from one of those listings and see what happens.
Also, when you got that message, did it prevent you from proceeding. Sometimes those messages are just warnings for you to check the policy before listing.

It is possible to transfer some Adobe products, you have to follow the procedures:

I'm not sure if selling on eBay allows for the legal transfer to be completed properly.

Also, if you are trying to sell it in digital format you must use the Classified Ad listing format.

If you did use it and no longer use it the license key may be invalid.

I tried selling just now a legitimate copy through a "sell similar" button and I got the same error.
Adobe is such a pain in the butt when it comes to selling their products on eBay. A while back, I sold an Adobe software to one of their lawyers pretending to be an eBay customer. Next thing you know, I get a threat for a big sum of money for selling pirated software (it wasn't, I had the receipts and it was the full retail version). I called their lawyer and they seemed to not have a clue who I was, but gave me their "well you can choose to pay and settle..."
Anyways, I'm going off on a tangent. Basically Adobe is actively trying to stop the secondary market on their products. They have succeeded on Amazon.

Unfortunately Adobe has no way of knowing whether you removed the software from your computer.

Did you ever successfully sell the old Adobe software?
I'm dealing with the same issue selling 20+ year old software.
Ebay's "Support" tells me I'm not allowed to sell old Adobe software since I'm not a software dealer, but there are others selling the SAME EXACT PRODUCT that are clearly selling their old used software.
