Recently cleaned out a hoarder house and I'm prepping to post a few hundred items (a lot of NIB toys) from the place, along with a lot of my own gaming stuff I'm tired of cluttering up my house. I've sold on eBay before, but only in 30-40 item lots at most - more often 10-20, and I haven't sold anything on eBay since 2017.
A post scrolled across my feed about how eBay locked down their account with an MC011 for doing a "suspicious" amount of business for its history, and it seems to be a common thing. Is there any way to avoid it by contacting eBay beforehand? It seems like a hassle, especially if they (apparently) delete auction listings by slapping one with an M011.
Thanks for any advice y'all can give!

It wouldnt do any good to contact Ebay about possible future sales. But it looks like you havent sold for a while, so expect your funds to be held. When they do sell, Ebay may ask you for receipts tho, good luck.

I would start off slow and smaller dollar, then gradually ramp it up.

Make sure you are signed up for Managed Payments before you even start if you are not already enrolled. You will be considered the same as a "new seller", and you can plan on not getting any money for 30 days after the sale.
Do start out SLOW....a long time dormant account such as yours is going to be on the radar for possibly being hijacked and you don't need a lot of drama where eBay will require you produce RECIEPTS for those NIB toys that you got in a clean out, locker sale, pallet sale situation where itemized proof of purchase really doesn't exist.
Diversify so all your eggs are NOT in the eBay basket should your activity trip some bot action. Contacting eBay in advance is not going to help you. Most of the "humans" left have no control over any 'bot action', much less prevent it.
Good luck!
