I sold a DVD recorder to a customer over a month ago. It was new but open in the original box. Still wrapped in plastic as was the remote and cables. I listed the item as new. In the description I listed what was included and that the box was open. The customer is now requesting the owner's manual, which I realize would be expected with an item that is listed as new. It did not occur to me at the time of listing the item that I was missing the owner's manual. In my defense, there is no owner's manual in any pictures nor is it stated that an owners manual was included with this item. All of this being said, I can understand why the customer may have expected it to come with an owner's manual. I also do anything within my power to keep my customers happy. I have found the owner's manual online. I would like to email it to the customer rather than printing it out and mailing it. Am I allowed to ask the customer for their email address? Any advice as to the best way to resolve this issue would be appreciated. Thank you for your time and advice.

Thank you! I liked all the answers. Glad I wasn't the only one who found it weird. I will share with them the link. I should have mentioned it is a link that directs you to a .pdf that you can download its 82 pages long. I could see were this might seem strange to them. If they aren't satisfied with this can I ask for email? Is it appropriate to ignore / block them it doesn't seem like the best business practice? I'm not sure if I am supposed to post a follow-up questions.

You are good. Most folks can cut a paste which is all that is required after you sent them the link.
You only follow up if they ask a question.
