Calculated Shipping - Amount Customer Paid vs Amount I Paid Using Ebay Labels

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

I use calculated shipping. There usually is a small variance between what a customer paid for shipping versus the amount I paid when I purchased an Ebay label.

Is there an easy way to compare the amounts, for a month or year, of the shipping costs my customers paid versus the amount I paid for Ebay labels?

I tried using the Ebay reports tab, but I couldn't find anything helpful for this situation.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Sounds like you have had some shipping experience. Can you guess within a couple dollars what the shipping cost will be on about anything yet? You could roll it into the price and make it free shipping.
Instead of tracking down two numbers to compare you would have only one. Then you could use the time (that you’re never getting back) to do something more enjoyable.

Are you going to consider all the partial refunds for combined shipping? You might need to be hunting a 3rd number for comparison.
Free shipping + Free shipping = no partial refund.

For everything that happens conditions exist such that nothing else could have happened.

USPS prices are constantly changes so it would be hard to know "in advance" what shipping costs would be.  EBAY shipping prices (that you pay) are always discounted from what your customers pay.

Go to PAYMENTS, REPORTS, TRANSACTION (enter time period).   This report shows "everything" (purchase price, shipping amount CUSTOMER paid, EBAY fees, shipping price YOU paid).  Only problem report is about 40 columns wide and very difficult to read (too much gibberish that you don't need).

EBAY recently updated reporting to make is easier to understand (so when you report taxes all the important information om one-page).    Go to PAYMENTS, REPORTS, FINANCIAL OVERVIEW shows (gross sales, refunds, expenses (cost YOU paid for shipping, EBAY fees).   This is information you need to taxes (along with other expenses that you need to keep record of (cost of goods, mileage, packing materials, office supplies, etc).

it is definitely in one of those downloadable reports for the excel sheet

one of the many columns is amount PAID by buyer, another is the amount YOU PAID through ebay labels.....

Except for Media Mail and Parcel Select Ground.

Or unless you have changed your site preferences so the shipping calculator charges buyers the "eBay price" rather than the retail (in store) price.
