Is anyone having difficulty with the cropping tool today with listings??

Yes. Do you take photos with a camera and upload them, or do you use the app?

I use the Android App to take the photos within the listing process, and I can edit photos both from the app and the PC draft, except for cropping. The crop feature does not work. And I have found that, for the photos I took within the last day or two, I cannot crop using revise, and worse, the photos in the listing do NOT enlarge when clicked on.

I believe it is possible that photos taken with a camera and uploaded are not subject to this issue, but I'm not yet sure.

One thing I have not tried yet....when I take photos with the app, I set the app phone camera on 1:1 (square) which I can do within the app. I wonder if I do not set it on 1:1, perhaps that will fix the issue?

Just for information..........I have no trouble cropping when revising a listing..........I'm on a PC. using firefox......

@mstellamarket70 I just downloaded the latest version of the app for Android, and that MIGHT have fixed it going forward...still testing. But photos I took earlier, including some I posted as listings, might need to be reshot if I want them to enlarge....

I'm not sure this applies to your situation, since you have so far not returned to add to your thread, but , at least for me, deleting the Android phone app and then reloading it again seems to have fixed the problem (for now anyway). I've been able to take photos with the app camera, crop them with the PC and /or the app, and they enlarge correctly on the OC after the item is listed.

However, I will have to go back and reshoot the photos I took with the app camera over the last day or two, because they can't be cropped and don't enlarge. A bother to do, but I'm glad I found out before I posted a lot more listings with screwed up photos.

Thanks for the idea. I did update the app but it didn't seem to help. I'm going to delete and reload it now and see if it makes a difference. I've never had any problems until yesterday. Thank you!

I was attempting to crop pictures through both mobile and my laptop it the tool wasn't working. I ended up cropping in my photo gallery before loading onto eBay.

Thank you for sharing! Great advice. I ended up cropping through photo app on phone. I guess this is something new with eBay's platform? I've never had any problems until now doing so. Thanks again!
