COVID still very active - why stop with the 50,000?

Since the US refuses to do what is necessary to stem the tide of COVID, eBay should let the 50,000 free listings continue.  Just a thought.  lol   Stay safe all.    🙂  PS - let the unwanted MP continue to slide, also.

Hi everyone,

This is a friendly reminder to keep discussion here on the Selling board eBay-related. Please bring any further replies back to the subject established in the OP: "eBay should let the 50,000 free listings continue."

For general political discussion, please post on The Soapbox.

Thanks!

When purchases are believed to be necessary, tariffs hurt the people who buy the stuff. Basic economics. People still keep buying and tariffs are an extra tax on us.

Tariffs would only hurt China if people stopped buying and we are such a consumer driven economy that will never happen. Trump does not understand trade deficits either. There is a trade deficit because Americans are obsessed with stuff.

somebody needs to sell tinfoil hats on here. There’s a lot of people who apparently need them.

You should consider registering as an agent for a foreign government. The U.S. government has a lot on their plate right now and probably doesn't have time to consider the personal needs of one Canadian seller on eBay.

LOL. Yes, we are too busy not tending effectively to a deadly pandemic, as every other industrialized (and many non-industrialized) nation has - as evidenced by the fact that our economy is very much stalled and possibly closing where theirs are re-opening.

Why reflexively defend a failure? All the OP did was ask for an extension of free listings, due to the US government screwing up the Covid-19 response, which they did, spectacularly.

My god. If we can't acknowledge THAT, I fear we are doomed.

You've heard Americans aren't allowed into the EU, right? Or Canada. Or by now maybe even Mexico.

Probably not. Most Canadian people seem like very reasonable people. The OP seems to blame everything bad in his life on Americans and our government. I've never seen you do that.

I'm not into blaming other people for things, even when it's their fault, I often figure there's something I could have done differently to prevent it from happening. (My thoughts are "I would handle it differently next time" and there's a long list of examples).

Don't use Canada as an example, our border is closed to EVERYONE who isn't a resident or citizen. This does not effect commerce or people who live on one side and work on the other for essential work. (ie Doctors who live in Windsor and work in Detroit).

I imagine the EU and many other places have closed borders to everyone who isn't one of their citizens. Even in Canada, some provinces have border control to stop non residents from entering (like PEI)

Yep - it's not America's terrible USPS that is causing me several headaches with very lengthy delays in mail.  It's all my fault!   The lengthy delays have nothing to do with the horrible response to COVID.  LOL!

As do I.

What I don't see are the changes in the free listing allotment due to the store changes.  Certainly the 50,000 more than takes care of the upgrades to stores free allotments, but it sure is interesting.

You would be incorrect on that.  There are complete processing facilities that are closed.  They are low on staff across the nation, more in some areas than others.

Some areas don't have enough carriers to deliver mail much less pick it up.  There have been sellers on the threads talking about their local POs closing due to not enough staff to run the office.

I know you have expressed that you didn't understand how or why anyone thought you were blaming the politics in the US or the government, but if you re-examine your opening words, that is where it came from.  You didn't say some people, you said "the US".  I think it was pretty easy to feel the way some have in regards to that.

As I posted moment ago, I do have the 50,000 free listings for this month.  Have you checked your Seller Hub to see if the promo is in your Promo box?

seems the Germans had enough and don’t believe the “mask”hoax either....

before the little people at eBay warn me again for doing nothing wrong and giving me one of terrible warning, that I’m so scared of, I’ll just say this, read Rules for Racials and every vote for a democrat is a vote for a criminal.

true is stranger than Fiction.   Every time
