Buyers who send buyers notes are a problem 90% of the time

I went back through my sales history and discovered that buyers who send buyers notes when buying are an issue 90% of the time.  They always find a problem. Anyone else have this correlation?  The second group of red flag buyers are those that message for a lower price.  They are also never satisfied it seems.  Ive begun just blocking both these types of buyers immediately

I only ignore questions on ebay.  Because it's not worth my time.  My others stores sure I'll answer questions.

Hardly any of my listings allow offers.  These are people who message me offers

If I have best offer then I'm entertaining offers.  I'm referring to those who message and ask despite not having a best offer

And I'm hopping on one leg whistling dixie.

But judging by your feedback you would be one of those sellers that I would be confident to buy from without bothering to add a packing note.

I rarely use best offer but that don't stop them from asking for one.  that's the ones I'm referring to

Ditto! I so agree!!! I told my husband a while back...100% I will receive and message through ebay about my listed item. Ask for new photos and more detail and more measurements on and on. I'm a detail "freak!"

I always include 24 photos with 95% of my list items. I so all measurements and weight and labels and makers marks-hallmarks. The one that beg for low ball or major discount never ever leave me feedback. I save all my customers with shipping. with all my listings my ship cost is under the shipping usps price. All my sales, I have to include a lot more money to ship. No one thanks anymore. Expect and demand with no appreciation or gratitude!!! Block the pain in the a@@ people beforehand. Been in sales for 40 years. I know the nature of the beast.

I have never had that experience, As long as you do what they ask & do it properly there should be no problem, Example can you please pack my item securely, Can you please ship it in a box, etc, etc,.

Generally the low ball offer people are not one of my favorites. I have found a lot of the time if I have reduced prices for these people they are far worse customers than the one’s who buy outright for our buy it now price. There is generally something of trouble with these people.

How do you make it automatically do that?

In my years of experience I've learned eBay has the worst buyers in all of retail.  Not even close.

You've never sold on Facebook Marketplace then. The non-buyer who wanted all those pictures? Imagine 10 of those a day! They never intend on buying anything, but they get a sick kick out of trolling people and wasting their time.

It was so prevalent that I went searching for a name for the behavior, and I found it! It's an actual mental disorder.

Then there are the scammers. eBay is better when it comes to the types of people who buy and sell here, imo, though I'm not a fan of many things eBay. At least it's not FBMP!

On the flip side, I do appreciate a buyer asking questions as I would not want a return.

It's mainly sports cards and yes it does work.  I just don't want the headache.  I'd rather light it on fire than deal with someone who will be an issue
