Buyers w/same address, different user id

Over the past few days I’ve made multiple sales and have noticed that a lot of them all have the same shipping address. But each and everyone of them has a different name and user ID on the purchase, but the shipping address is the same on every purchase. It’s been close to 20 purchases. Is this some type of scam? I don’t want to have to cancel every single order if it hurts my sellers feedback.

Digital items with no shipping and no tracking??

You will have other issues besides worrying about the buyers being duplicate.

Would you suggest cancelling all orders that come from these people?

Since digital items aren't covered one person can have 100 accounts, contest and win every single one while keeping the digital item.  Not saying they are doing so but who knows...

I sell a lot of CPUs and had a buyer with over 100 accounts all with different names on the account and on shipping label.  It was a residential item... eBay didn't care so why should I, I guess.

I haven’t had an issue as of yet with a contest against me. It’s been more than a week since this “person” has bought stuff from me. I’m just curious as should I cancel all of their orders. Or delete the listing and relist again.

I have 3 different accounts and have the same address.  I am a buyer and a seller.  I used 2 accounts to sell, until I transfer every thing to this account.  Now, I only use 1 account to sell.  The other 2 I use them to buy items to resell, and to buy personal items.  Nothing wrong with that.  I can also use a "Guest Account", to buy more stuff.  Nothing wrong with that, as ebay let me do so...  Don't over think it.  You made some sales.  Take the money and count it.  Good luck on your selling journey...

There is no honest reason to have multiple accounts. Everyone should be limited to one account. None of the policies are enforceable when someone can just make another account.

They use a throwaway account to buy things they plan to cause a problem over or try to steal.

My last 20 problems are 80% < 10 feedback. I don’t send items worth more than $50 to 0-9 feedback accounts.

For everything that happens conditions exist such that nothing else could have happened.

Because when someone steals ebay still makes money. They will advertise, facilitate, and encourage theft. Why should you care when ebay doesn’t? Because ebay doesn’t care about you and “seller protection” is a farce.

Looks like Ebay has removed the two digital item listings so I wouldn't relist them.

Have a great day.

Yes, there are legitimate reasons for multiple accounts:

I have two selling accounts.  In days of old....it was advised if you sold in two different categories (clothes and electronics for example) you should have a selling account (and store) for each category. While I sell from just one account, the other still exists.

Sellers who buy on eBay are told to have two accounts - one for selling and one for buying.  Especially if they have found items they sell or have knowledge about as misidentified, sold in lots or just plain way cheaper than they can get it for it.  Or simply because they don't want their own customers to know what they buy.

There was a time and some still do it, when sellers had 'posting IDs' because....they might offend someone with a post (intentional or not) and the offended party would wreak havoc on the seller's account.

Isn't it possible, also, that several people share a residence? Maybe it's a commune or a college house. Or just a large old house with lots of bedrooms to rent out.

Yep looks like you’re right. They must be watching us… haha. Don’t understand why I see tonssss of digital items with thousands of items sold, yet mine gets deleted. Oh well.

It's called 'wack a mole' and eBay has to play it day in and day out. Remove 100 listings and 100 more show up (that are not allowed).

Best thing though- do NOT relist anything that they have removed. You are now on their radar and will get suspended if you continue to 'relist'. You should've received a message from eBay telling you they removed your items and why.

Probably a freight forwarder address.
