Buyers messaging wanting items cheaper

For the last couple months, I've got several messages from eBayers wanting items cheaper, claiming "They know the real prices" saying I'm "Crazy for asking that price", etc...  They are usually ones who have low feedback or just thinking they will get a deal.  Is there any way of reporting them or do I just deal with it?  I never respond to the messages they are just getting annoying.  I sell on eBay all the time and shouldn't have to deal with this.

Ignore them. People sometimes try to lowball items in order to get it cheaper, some will try to guilt you into selling it cheaper. There is really no need to report them to eBay, unless they become abusive.

Good luck.

Ignore and block. I don't entertain their low ball questions anymore.

Never responding to such messages is how you deal with it, so you're doing fine. No response gives them nothing to work with.

Don't respond -- just add them to your blocked buyers list.

A lot of buyers don't realize that "free shipping" isn't actually free.
Let them look elsewhere if they think they know the "real" prices.

Today somebody sent me a message and asked me if one of my prices was a mistake. I ignored her. Maybe I should block her...hmmmm

I don't have offers on my listings and yesterday somebody sent me a message offering me $10 on a $30 item that's several pounds and has free priority shipping. Also just ignored her.

There’s no way through eBay’s standard pages to report someone who hasn’t purchased something from you. I get people asking for discounts all the time especially during the holidays. I have never entertained any of them. The annoying ones are the ones to repeatedly ask you and don’t understand your silence is a rejection.

The worst ones are the ones who end up buying at regular price then end up messaging you for a partial refund or filing a snad return saying it’s not worth the money. I don’t block all buyers asking for discounts because many have just bought at regular price and were content with their purchases. Dealing with buyers like this is part of being an online seller.

Sad part is they're probably sellers wanting to resell at a higher price or use you for drop shipping.

If it bugs you enough. Just block them and move on.

It's pointless to report cheap people. But it's totally worth it to ignore them.

I've always been amazed when dealing with people who want stuff for a 3/4 discount, and will turn around and re-sell at a 150 percent markup. I don't know how they live with themselves, but them's the brakes.

Just ignore them or tell them that the pricing is about to increase! 😎😁

Were is the ebay policy violation that you would report ?

You can simply ignore or choose to respond in a polite manner that your price is firm.

Tagging on....just ignore them and block them incase they decide to change their mind. 😆

Happy New Year.

Easy to ignore. In fact, once they've sent the 1st offer then it's even easier to ignore them because you can block. I just can't imagine getting so many low offers that it would affect my day in any way.

Offering so-called "free" shipping does make fielding and responding to offers a bit complicated, I would think. With "buyer pays calculated shipping" it's much easier to keep an eye on the bottom line when entertaining offers, as well as running sales and discounts..

Most buyers are probably totally unaware of the huge percentage that eBay takes in fees from the sale of each item -- up to 15% on some items, plus an additional 30 cents -- and that final value fee is based upon the selling price (including state sales tax, where applicable), plus shipping charges.

So, any price discount demanded by a potential buyer is often severely cutting into the seller's bottom line.

I've explained this to a handful of serious potential buyers, and most of them were unaware of how sticky eBay's fingers were.
