Buyers backing out!!!!

Why!?

Why has eBay not put a pushinment inlace for ppl backing out of purchases. They agree to the price, they accept, and then just don't pay. Meanwhile my items off shelf for 5 days while I wait... then you have to contact them because of their shame or whatever!!!

There should be a tracker by ALL our names showing if we have backed out of sale or purchases.

The fact that these ppl can just pretend to buy is getting old. 3 back outs lately. I don't care about any economical, spiritual, or any other excuses. if you agree to pay, eBay should hold you to it, or make it clear to all of us what type of person we are dealing with. its just a waste of time.

I would rather have 50 people not pay than even 1 person force a return. Think about it.

I just let it sit in awaiting payment until the 4 days pass, block the person and relist the item. The more of these people you block the less of these problems you will have over time.

Ebay doesn't hold buyers to any kind of standard and won't ever.   As a seller all you can do is leave positive feedbacks (or not), BBL them after a few days, and (fruitlessly) complain if they give you the option.  Nothing really ever happens to change any of the rampant buyer issues on the site.

Do you have the 2 no pays/no buying from you in last year turned on? Are you canceling for not paying, so they are getting a strike? Don't contact the buyers, eBay already sends notices.

Understand you're upset, but this is how it is.

Of course they do, assuming the seller knows to make sure a UPI is filed against the buyer,  that the seller is smart enough to set their blocks to prevent anyone with 2 (or more) UPIs in a year from bidding on their auctions, and that the seller uses Immediate payment required for non-auction items.

I could not agree more. I would imagine there were a few things that did not get paid for when IAN went through Florida. You never really know why a buyer does not pay. While a lot of it could be sport bidders and/or people just being mischievous there may also be some valid reasons.

If it is a big problem for you, then work with the tools ebay offers.  Set up immediate payment required and don't do offers.
