Buyers With Zero Transactions / Fraud

hello everyone,

i have a question. many years ago i sold on ebay and recently decided to TRY again.

the reason i stopped many years ago was of buyers that would buy high dollar items and as soon as they verified that the item had been shipped they would claim unauthorized purchase and money was pulled form my paypal then i was stuck with no item and no money. well the inevitable has come. a buyer/ebay member since 2017 with zero transactions has bought an item for 150.00 . so i really do not want to ship this item. so how am i protected from this and what options do i have?

Re: Buyers With Zero Transactions / Fraud

you have seller protection with unauthorized purchase by just supplying the tracking number to prove shipment, you dont even have to prove delivery.

A buyer with 0 feedback or 10,000 feedback makes no difference. You don't have protection against most scams either way.

However, as said above you do have protection against unauthorized use claims as long as you ship with tracking to the address attached to the payment.

Unfortunately,  iPhones are a high risk item for scammers.  Even if you prove delivery with tracking they can claim the box arrived empty or it wasn't as described.  You would have to pay for a return and they can send you back a brick.  Unfortunately there aren't any seller protections when a buyer claims an item isn't as described..
