Hi, a buyer wants to return a bikini bra top after 3 weeks claiming it is damaged and is not the color described. The item was sold on the 24th of December and buyer received it on the 28th. I have refused to accept the return. Buyer also claims to have a similar bra she bought 3 yrs ago that even looks newer than the one I sent. I think she wants to send me her old bra to get a refund.

I would never buy clothes on ebay at all.
What if they have bed bugs, and the clothes have the eggs in them.
And for the same reason, I don't buy at thrifts,
and washing does not kill them, you can pick them up at a public laundery.
Ohhh, the visuals!! 😮
And, @sockmonkeydave, just what the heck am I going to do with that c. 1973 dusty rose tuxedo I snagged at Goodwill for you so we could could wear color coordinated outfits to the prom? Guess I just flushed THAT $2.50 down the toilet!

I am struggling with returns this month too.
I had a thought. What if Ebay allowed up to set our settings to not sell to someone who has returned a certain number of times? Like we can not take bids or sales from buyers who have so many unpaid item strikes.
Why can't we not accept bids or sales from someone who has issued 2, 3....whatever returns in 12 months time. They could surely easily code for that.
I realize I'd be losing some buyers, but I am losing buyers by blocking non-payers too (because often times they DO PAY) but, yeah, I'd rather lose the buyers than deal with this aggravation and money loss.
Maybe we should lobby for this setting in our preferences. We SHOULD have to power to not have to sell to chronic returners and abusers of the system.

The sad thing is the bra WAS dirty. Looking closer at the photos of the underwire area its not only dirty, it looks like some one used heavy duty detergent to attempt to clean it and they faded it.
Yeah, I dunno @donngreen_36. To me, that just looks like the inside of the bra where a different fabric was used over the underwire. It could even be that the two fabrics are dyed to match, but photographed differently due to fiber content differences, combined with flash photography.
I could be wrong. Just hard to know for certain.

Blocking a bad buy is worth every penny.
I just got one today who "threatened" a bad review if I don't do as he says.
I apoligized and sent him the little $3 item and paid $3 shipping. For $6 I'd pay to block someone like that. I only sell honest products and I always describe it 100%.
eBay is so lucky they are the biggest and easiest. They're rates are so high and their policy favors the client. What can you do? You can literally post **bleep** and sell it on here.
I ❤️ eBay and 75% of their users.
@shirtmile, I think the OP has left the building.
This whole issue is just one hot she said / she said mess.
I'm just gonna say it: Sellers should offer returns. That way, a dissatisfied buyer can just return the item, the seller gets the item back and can relist it, the buyer sends it back on her dime instead of the seller's, and everything can be as it was. No harm, no foul.
Instead, because this seller does NOT accept returns, a dissatisfied buyer will feel compelled to lie about the reason and file an SNAD, which will trump the seller's NRP, compliments of eBay's MBG, with the seller footing the return shipping bill.
At the beginning of this topic, the OP presents this situation as a probable scam, and says she is not going to comply with the buyer's demands. Subsequent replies by the OP, bolstered by some members' sleuthing and a casual perusal of the OP's feedback history casts some doubt regarding the veracity of what we're told initially.
The fact that the OP had 25 listed items which were abruptly ended (unsold) today just adds to this perplexity.

OP should have this thread locked and hope it sinks to the bottom real fast.
Seeing that pair of panties, I am wondering if other buyers would trust purchasing anything else from her after seeing how low her standards of cleanliness seem to be.

just sell your products w/ no returns
or one week return policy: with contact made about product
case closed
seems like if you want to get a positive feedback and not ruin your rep. u must take this loss. bottom line u must cover and protect yourself. so dont accept returns on clothes items..after return period ended
and if they use it for any reason they can not return it.
i know the practices of people buying clothes then using it then returning it.
so if you see a friend out with clothes tags on their clothes its probably because they will return it after use. and note to self that person is a cheap scape surely dont go out with them or give your heart to people like that. cuz people are consistent with their personal and business affairs. if they rip off consumers they will most likely rip their friends and loved ones off.
their is scandalous people like that stay clear away from them if you want to have stress free life....

I know, right?!
I'm thinking she saw the handwriting on the wall and is intending to reopen shop under another another seller ID. She had 25 items up for sale that were all ended today. As in removed. I'm speculating she ended them early and is bailing on her cuerent ID.
Smart move, if she does start over. Maybe this experience will serve as a wakeup call and she'll up her game a little. One can only hope.

@yeehahh, have you read the entire thread?
There are two sides to every story, with the truth lying somewhere in between the two.
I respectfully disagree with your advice not to accept returns. Having a NRP actually sets you up for more potential hassle and loss, as eBay's Money Back Guarantee overrules a No Returns Policy.
The OP DID list the item stating she did not accept returns, and this is what came of that. Partly.

Thanks so much for the update and the clarification, @bitsnspices! I just knew you weren't that person!!
I apologize for misjuding you and misinterpreting some of your now obviously lighthearted, tongue in cheek replies, and for my ensuing critical responses.
I commend your courage in comimg back to set the story straight.
Best wishes for future positive transactions!
