I sold an item on eBay for £175 a few days ago and to say they sent me a message saying that the box was empty. I used Hermes to send it so I tried to contact them but I can’t find way to contact them. I’ve told the seller that I am opening an investigation with Hermes and that police will be getting involved so that if he is trying to scam me he gets intimidated. Until now however I haven’t been able to contact Hermes to open a case and the seller has files a return. I’m not sure what to do at this point. I’ve got a tracking number and a picture of the packing label with the weight on it. This can prove that something was in the box but it’s been taken out

You are in the UK, using a shipper there.........this is the US board and most will not have any info concerning the UK...... Suggest you post on the UK board.

All it t proves is that before you mailed it, a picture was taken.
Ebay doesn't accept pictures as proof of anything.
If the buyer files a claim ebay will almost certainly side with the buyer.
I believe you but ebay works on auto-policy.
Sorry
