Hi - three weeks ago I posted an item to the buyer. This was tracked and the tracking shows delivered and signed for. Only today, 3 weeks later, the buyer opend a request as he says he did not receive this. He was also very late with payment and when I got in touch he said he did not have a current address but would send it later, which he did and then paid. Am I wrong to be suspicious? I have let him know that I have proof of posting and also proof of delivery. Thanks.

I have a transcript of the chat - yes. Thank you for your reply - appreciated. My problem at the moment is that the facility to attach anything to messages - seems to have disappeared!

Hi There - thank you for your reply - appreciated. I actually got in touch with Ebay later today and they asked me for the tracking number via agent chat. I was able to give them this and they said that all was well and that they would close the case after 3 days. I'll wait and see what happens. Thanks again.
Don't put too much faith in the help support these days. Most of them will tell you what you want to hear to get you off the phone and most of them have 0 authority to do anything. Download that chat transcript to your own files and hold onto it. Why would they have to ask you for the tracking number if it was on the order they already have it? Strange they didn't also ask you for the signature document.

Please return and let us know how this worked out.

Hi there - thanks for replying. I too wonder why they did not ask for the signature document. Hmm.

I just want to say that eBay has good seller protection for INR when you have tracking that shows delivered.
A lot of sellers deal with fraudulent INR claims from people trying to scam, and it happens a lot.
I just want to say that the buyer might not be necessarily wrong about getting the item. The fact that it has signature requirement makes it even more unlikely.
I personally had a slanted look at these situations until it happened to me. Delivered tracking, eBay denied my INR, had to do lengthy appeal.
And this wasn't to my address but to my PMB at UPS Store. They even checked the cameras when the tracking showed delivery, and notta. Got a statement from the UPS store that the item was never delivered. UPS didn't detect any alterations to label.
Was a purchase for 2,000. Eventually I got refunded. But it took a lot of time, requiring messages to every board member and BBB, PayPal.
Ever since then I have veered away from the 'it says delivered, you can go away now' mentality.
Sorry just my 2 cents.

With the tracking number on the carrier's website, it'll show "signed for by _____."
I'm a bit unclear about how you printed the label.

Hi I appreciate your 2 cents worth! Thank you.

Thank you for getting back to me - I appreciate that.
Royal Mail actually gave me an option to print out the signature.
I couldn't make the signature out.
I did not change the address no. I used the one on the shipping address label.
The buyer opend an official INR claim as well as messaging me

I apologize in advance if this has been answered before, but YOU actually have to upload the actual tracking # into the item not received case. At least that's the way it's handled on eBay.com and would assume it would work the same on the UK site.

It's not necessary to print out the signature as long as the tracking shows that s.c. was obtained.
Once you respond to the case, input the tracking # and although it's not necessary, I'd also add this in the comment section of your response: "According to Royal mail, tracking # (fill in the blank) was delivered on (date) at (time) and was signed for although I cannot read the signature."
Once that's responded to and submitted, ebay gives the buyer time to "locate the item" and if there's no update, they close the case in about 3 days.

I can't read my own signature. Nowadays it's like "making your mark" in pre-literacy days.
It could be an X or the cat's pawprint. As long as there is something there.

Thank you for your reply - appreciated. I spoke to an Ebay agent who asked for the tracking which I then gave them.
