This buyer bought a brand new item from me, wrote positive feedback, days later said the item was bent, probably in shipping according to him... He then proceeded to open a case returned an item that does not even look like what I sold him, and eBay did not need any proof, they fully refunded the amount of item plus shipping (which I paid for twice, sending and the return). eBay is not offering any assistance. I do have pictures of before shipping the item and the item I received and am about to throw it in the trash. Any advice?

Unfortunately Ebay does not accept pictures of before and after, they can be doctored. And because you have a no return policy, you were not able to deduct anything from the refund for damage. You can try an appeal, for what thats worth.

I reckon some of these buyers feel very safe hiding behind the anonymity of the computing screen, plus the distance they are from the seller... Not sure what to say, I know this isn't the smartest thing to do but I'd be tempted to ask the buyer something like "care to explain what happened here, please feel free to be truthful and forthcoming since there's nothing more left to lose now, thank you" and add them to the blocked bidder list.
The smarter thing to do would be to say nothing, perhaps add them to the blocked bidder list.
I'm sure there will be more replies with different paths one might follow, not sure if any will yield any fruit or satisfaction.

Never pick a fight with an ugly person. They don’t have anything to lose
That is correct
