Hello. I sold an item that required two boxes for shipping. I bought two usps labels. The buyer claims only one box delivered. USPS shows both boxes were delivered. The buyer started a concern with eBay. eBay closed the case based on the usps information. Now the buyer started a return? What are my options?

1. Accept the return and send him two labels to return the items. When you get them back, refund his money.
2. If not worth it to pay to have them shipped back, just refund his money and let him keep the items.
3. Don't do anything so eBay will have to step in and will force a refund from you, let the buyer keep the items, and give you a defect on your account for not taking care of your customer.

I'm not sure if a buyer can make a INR case, lose the case, then make a INAD return.
Someone smarter than me will be along ahortly with the answer.

2 Return labels : for 2 boxes as shipped to buyer.
2 boxes must be returned using 2 labels.
I wouldn't respond to any further emails with buyer.
Will anything be returned?...maybe not and you just might get lucky.
I think buyer is probably playing with you.

Thank you for the quick reply.
the buyer stated that he only received one of the two boxes. USPS shows both delivered. eBay closed their first case based on the usps info.
so my best option is to except the one box back and refund him 1/2 the money?

I honestly didn’t think that was possible either.

Interesting.........
Accept the return. Supply two return labels and see what happens. Refund only what is returned, provided it is what you shipped.
Unfortunately, anything you do will probably result in a poor review.........this seems like a no win situation.

No... you'll have to have both boxes back and refund fully since that was the entire order. Send two labels. Good luck.

This is kind of making my head swim. -Never mind the INR part, just the question of what happens when a purchase requires two boxes. Do you buy two completely different labels with their own tracking numbers? Do you you upload both to eBay? HOW? And then what happens if you accept a return -does it automatically issue two more labels with separate tracking?

yes, you buy 2 separate labels with 2 tracking numbers... this is done via eBay labels on the shipping menu with buy additional label option. eBay adds both tracking numbers to the order and the boxes can be different sizes as well. That is the "easy" part.
I would also like to know what happens when buyer opens a return. I doubt if the system automatically issues 2 return labels? Would rather not wait till it happens to find out but if they dont I guess you would have to buy your own second return label and upload it into the return but that certainly is not the best solution.
Maybe somebody has had this happen and can fill us in on multiple return labels

The package can sometimes arrive late after a inr is filed.
Then when it is opened it could be not as described and a claim for not as described can be opened.

File a case that the buyer is demanding something not offered. Seems to get eBay to actually have a person examine the facts.

You're not talking about a "case" per se. You're talking about reporting a buyer for: Abusive buyer behavior > demanding something not in the listing.
But what exactly do you think they're trying to get?
