I've been selling on eBay for 20 years and have a couple different eBay accounts connected to different business. Earlier this year I had a guy in France that opened a case against me for an item not received. Recently I had a guy in Spain open a case for an item not received. In both cases when I clicked on the button to respond to the case I was taken to a foreign language eBay site. I don't speak French and I don't speak Spanish. The listings were on eBay.com and entirely in English. Is there some way to move these issues back to eBay.com where the original transaction occurred? The only solutions I am seeing are really just about how to translate foreign language text .

If I'm not mistaken, a case filed will default to the site the buyer purchased on.
If your listings on .com are shown on other international sites, and a buyer purchases from, say, ebay.es, then yes, any cases filed will be in the language of the site, which in this case would be Spanish. If you don't speak the language you have to work through a translation program.

Answer it in ENGLISH. It's their problem if they can't read it.

They may be thinking the same thing.

Adding to this-
The policies may differ on international sites and the seller must comply with the policies on the site the buyer used to purchase even if their listing originated on .com.

click on the 'help & contact' button at the top and bottom of ebay pages to have ebay give you a call back so you can explain your dilemma.

Agreed. I just do both. I respond in English and then I translate it and put it in their language for their ease. It is so simple using the Google translator. It only takes a little more time.

There is another solution. Don't sell internationally. Just sell on ebay.com, since you want the transaction moved there.

I had a guy recently purchase something from me. He lived in Russia. He sent me messages in Russian and the ebay message service translated it automatically. Not sure why that system is not working for you though.
