Hello, I have a buyer who will not pick up their package from the post office. A delivery attempt was made but their receptacle was full, I messaged the buyer and she said she’d go the next morning to pick the package up. That was a week ago and now it’s saying if she does not pick it up soon the item will be returned to me. The order was over $1000 and eBay will not release the funds to me until delivery is confirmed. My question is what now? I contacted the buyer again to let her know the item was about to be marked return to sender and it’s been radio silence. Idk what to do.

Do nothing.
Stop reaching out to them, they know it’s there.
Best case scenario, it is returned to you and you can relist.
If it is returned, you can refund, but deduct all your expenses first. They lost all their eBay’s buyer protection when they didn’t pick it up.
Did you ship it with signature confirmation?

Sometimes, not always, if you haven't sold anything in say 30+ days eBay hold your funds for ransom.
Tracking hasn't really anything to do with holding funds with sellers who sell every now and then.
However, I would not do anything related to the buyer not picking up item(s).
Buyer could be waiting to do a refund and pick up item(s) day they get that refund...seller beware kind of thing.
I wouldn't not email buyer.
Either buyer picks up item or it's returned...if it's returned that's another story.

Yes, you do not need to refund unless the item is back in your hands.
Given that she has to collect it from her PO, she may be waiting for the weekend to collect it, when she's off work or whatever.

I doubt this is the case because the item arrived on a weekday and the first weekend has already passed.

I have sold a few items in the past 30 days with no such issues. I believe eBay is holding the funds in this case because of the amount the item cost. I used eBay’s shipping service and the tracking is available on eBay for both me and the seller to see. Today it just flashed red saying the item would be marked as return to sender. I don’t understand why she won’t go pick it up.

The package is considered "delivered" in ebay's eyes.
As others have suggested, I would not do anything, especially reach out to the buyer.
IF they file a INR (item not received) case, they will lose.
Relax and have a beer.

Oh, okay... If you're seeing it now marked as Return to Sender then I would assume that is the case. Since it never left USPS hands I think you should be receiving back what you sent out, but wait for that to happen. The buyer has no mechanism for bullying you into a refund before the package gets back to you.
I took a look at your Sold listings to see what the package might be, and Holy Cow... I had no idea bears were that collectible. I mean, I like my Gerber TLC bear (Theodore), but he's pushing 40 years old now, and would not be fetching several hundred bucks anywhere that I know of... 😉

Copy all this. Time for a relaxing cold one. You got this. Let it play out, follow the policies.
Come back here, if anything arises

Haha yes Charlie bears are super collectible. One of the ones I sold is probably in the top 10 of the most expensive ones out there though. They’re limited editions and Blueberry muffin is from 2012 so he’s especially rare.
