@ca42388 along with the ability to automate feedback, eBay also provides some default suggestions for stored feedback that can be used - so it's possible your potential buyer may have received feedback from multiple sellers who have automated feedback set up using the same stored/default comments suggested by eBay.
As others here have pointed out, it's not exactly new nor is it really cause for concern however, I think one reason it may "seem" worse or more suspicious now is that recent changes to feedback are now displaying "most relevant" sort order by default instead of "most recent."
From what I've observed, and I've seen comments from others along these lines as well, it appears like eBay's super special algorithm for "most relevant" may be preferencing these default comments and surfacing them together - which only highlights the fact that the comments are exactly the same and makes it look more suspicious than it otherwise might.
Just as an example, here's one I saw recently - the default "most relevant" looked like this:
But changing the sort order to "most recent" for the same user looks like this:
You can see in that view, there are still a few duplicate automated/saved feedback comments but it's much less obvious because they aren't all bunched together.
devon@ebay kyle@ebay elizabeth@ebay selling_team@ebay - just bringing this to your attention as I would think (hope) this is not the intended experience with "most relevant" display for feedback and there may be some tweaking needed for the algorithm to give less weight to stored/automated comments.
