What to do in this case? Have never had this happen before. Package still isn't back to me yet. On ebay, it still shows as shipped to buyer. Shipping was USPS ground advantage - not free.

You are in a very GOOD position. You are protected by Seller protection on Ebay.
"Shipping was USPS ground advantage - not free." I'm unsure of this statement you made. There is NO way to ship something for free. There is always a cost. Maybe take a moment and tell us what you meant so we make sure you understand how all this works as it is very important that you do.
There are two options for handling a package that is returned to you as not deliverable.
This is not considered an offsite sale since the sale already took place.
Do NOT print another label from the eBay sale or you'll end up with two tracking numbers on the sold listing which will confuse the system. Print it from the PayPal transaction or purchase the label through any other site other than Ebay.

Keep in mind that even if your buyer files an INR they can't win it. When a seller ships to the address the buyer gives the seller to ship to on their payment, the seller is covered against something like this. Ebay won't even force a seller to give any kind of refund to the buyer. However I always advise as I did above to refund the buyer less your costs. That is only fair.

Hi mam, really appreciate your response. I meant that I didn't offer "free shipping" and include it in the cost of the item. Should've worded it better. Sorry about that.

So you are saying that the buyer did NOT give you a wrong address?
If the buyer gave you a wrong address and the item is getting shipped back to you, it makes no difference if you use stated shipping or free shipping. it simply doesn't matter. You still paid for the shipping to an incorrect address provided by the buyer.
Is this not about the buyer giving you a bad address?

Just went through this.
Once the package is back you can do a partial refund and just refund them back the item cost. That way they pay for the shipping.

They did give me the wrong address. Thanks for clarifying.

You are not liable. If they want it still they have to pay for shipping. I usually create a separate listing for the new label and have them purchase it. The paypal idea is new to me as I have been flagged when I have tried in the past, if that is possible that would be easiest option. If they don't want to pay then I would refund them.

Using PayPal for the payment of the shipping so the seller can reship the item is fine with Ebay. Ebay is well aware that they do not offer a way to do this on the site. They know we have to go elsewhere to accomplish this. So it is fine.
