So a buyer bought an item on the evening of Feb 24 and I printed out a label and shipped it the very next morning even though I was allowed three days to ship. The buyer was provided a tracking number at around 4:30 am that morning. He filed an item not received dispute two days later and left a negative feedback saying I never replied to his messages. Well, I never got any message from Ebay until the 27th notifying me that a dispute was filed. How does the buyer file a not received dispute just 2 days after shipping and tracking shows a delivery window until March 5 and scheduled for March 3? Now he wants his money back even though he's getting the item Monday. Is this a scammer? How do I get this negative feedback removed? When I had to file a not received dispute, they made me wait until after the end of the delivery window, then an extra week to hear back from the seller who never responded and they ruled in my favor, almost a month later, so I'm just wondering how he was allowed to file one while there is an active tracking number showing it passing through several stops.

A buyer cannot open an item not received within the est delivery date. They can file it after the latest est delivery date shown in their ebay account. So I think, they called their bank and filed a dispute. The best solution is to challenge the request and provide the tracking number.

I did just that a couple of hours ago and low and behold, Ebay already responded and said they will not be refunding the buyer, thank goodness.

Yep, I did just that and it worked out in my favor. I found out it was a payment dispute and the reason he stated was he didn't received it even thou it was only after 2 days.

Hi, Maybe you should try to get the negative removed - You may just get lucky. (J.B.)

They even did that to my surprise. I explained to them I have never received a negative in 28 years of Ebay.

Awesome! Well, buyer's bank doesn't care about est delivery date. Once they called their bank and stated that they would like to dispute a transaction, ebay doesn't have an option to refuse but ebay does gave us the opportunity to challenge it. As long as we responded within the timeframe, we're safe.
