Buyer feedback

The greatest majority  of my sales have been  to buyers who don't leave any feedback.

Do you think these buyers even care whether or not a seller leaves one?

Makes no real difference, of course, since it would have to be positive.

I'm tempted to just not   bother for these buyers.

. If I leave one for every buyer...for instance 100...but only receive 10, do you think it looks like  the other 90 weren't totally satisfied?

It stinks for a newer seller not to get any since a higher amount of positives suggests reliability to other buyers that check

Buyer feedback

I occasionally get a note with a sale from the buyer asking me to be sure to leave feedback and they will do the same for me.

So the lesson from that is that SOME buyers do care about getting and giving feedback. The problem is that, other than a specific note, you have no way of knowing what the others think or how they will react to no feedback.. It is a simple enough thing to do. On my sellers page I click "all" and "leave feedback" and I can leave feedback for every buyer in just a couple of clicks.

Since we know that SOME people care then why not leave it?

And then there is the occasional feedback like the one from n***y.

That alone is worth the insignificant inconvenience. Image what your next buyer will think of you having seen that one.

It happens to all sellers, many buyers are on ebay to buy something, feedback may be the furthest thing for their minds.

Do you think these buyers even care whether or not a seller leaves one?

Probably not.

Feedback is voluntary, no one is required to give it. Your choice.

Only to you.

It does, but nothing you can do about it. Just keep selling the feedback will come.

Well to put it in perspective, about 1 out of 1000 orders on amazon leaves feedback so about .10%.

I don't think that Amazon is much of a comparison since feedback there is mostly for the product, not the seller.

I've seen some Buyers leave a Seller negative feedback just because the Seller

did not leave them feedback. Occasionally on the Buyers board you will see

Buyers posting about their displeasure for not receiving feedback. I always leave

feedback for both buyers and sellers.

Buyer feedback

As a buyer I do mostly leave feedback

Funny story though. I had an experience with a seller that REMINDED ME 2 leave them feedback through eBay messaging, but when I noticed, seller had failed to leave ME FEEDBACK, I just quickly text them informing them that i left feedback for them but see no feedback from them   no response and never received any feedback.

I have been on eBay for over a decade and have plenty of feedback (I sold for several years also) so i don't usually care but once seller requested me to do something they were never going to do I felt that it was bad business practice.  ðŸ˜€

Certainly agree many buyers don't leave feedback and probably don't care about it for themselves.

But no matter how much you resent that, I would advise leaving it for all your buyers...........because.  unless you research each one, you can't tell the ones that are fanatic about getting it, .............and those will leave negs if you don't.  It's a very small minority probably.......but a very unpleasant consequence for you, if you run into one.

Not true.  Feedback on Amazon is to rate the seller and the transaction.   A review on Amazon is to rate the product.  Two separate things.

On eBay, I leave buyers feedback, as just a quick and easy way to thank them for their purchases.  If something goes wrong later with the transaction, so what?  If they don't leave me feedback, so what?  I've said "thanks," as my parents taught me.  🙂

Buyer feedback

As a seller, I have auto-feedback as soon as the buyer pays.

As a seller, only about  10% to 20% of my buyers leave feedback.

As a buyer I always leave feedback to the seller.

Re: Amazon "feedback"...yes, sorry, you're right, there's reviews and/or feedback.

Eh, the rest of you are more right than wrong, too.
I'll go ahead and just leave it for all. Still do wish it was possible to leave a justified neg.

I know all the arguments but..........

So the buyer can just turn around and give you a negative? That's how it used to be for many. Feedback wars.

I leave feedback for all buyers that have completed payment. They pay, they get feedback. If they chose to leave negative feedback or cause some sort of drama later, well that's not something I can see at that time, so it doesn't factor into my decisions at the time of sale.

Also, I adhere a sticker to each packing slip reminding them to leave feedback and add me to their saved sellers list.

I understand your frustration and I have the same complaint about the sellers reminding me to leave them feedback in my order . I leave my feedback on the day I get my order and have a chance to look it over ,  My complaint is with the sellers who don't leave feedback .

I feel like you do does the seller not care whether I get mine or not.

My feedback is important to me as well
