Buyer failed to return power supply for return

Can I deduct the cost of the power supply from the return? Or is this going to be a defect to try and fight this?

One of the perks to being a Top Rated Seller is the ability to use your own discretion with returns. You can deduct up to 50% on the refund but plan on eBay stepping in first and a credit card dispute next. You should win with eBay but not so much with the CCC.

Without knowing which listing (and if a power supply was included)... as a TRS who offers 30-Day Returns, you are allowed to deduct up to 50% on an item returned to you in a de-valued condition. If this particular listing was set up that way... you're good to deduct from a full refund. Good luck.

Also, to part two of your inquiry, you won't get a defect, but if it gets to the point of the buyer trying to challenge the payment with the credit card company and then eBay gets involved asking if you want to challenge that, you could incur a $20 fee if you lose in which you can ask eBay for a courtesy. It's a long process and a lot depends on the buyers actions and the value of the merchandise.

Thanks, i'll be fair in the deduction of a replacement. I didn't even have to accept this return but so it goes.

That is what the privilege is there for. Probably not like you would have to use it a lot.
