I know this is on here somewhere but i'm so frustrated with PayPal that I need to vent. A buyer decided to file a dispute on the 178th day for an auction that ended in June. Of course no matter what I said, sent, gave to PayPal they sided with her for a full refund although she never returned my items. She wants me to send her a prepaid shipping label to return the item although PayPal said buyer has to return it and add tracking info, when it showed item was delivered back to me they will close it. Also my auctions clearly state buyer pays for return shipping. PayPal closed the case in her favor without any of that info and denied my appeal. She claims she was under the weather and just opened the items(6 months later) before filing the dispute and didn't like the color, it was exactly as I described. Of course she picked the first item on the list that's not covered under seller protection. How is this even fair? I am out my money and my items as buyer will not respond. It's discouraging and making me want to quit selling. Almost all of my feedback is item just as descibed as like others I give a detailed description, measurements and lots of pictures. I have been an ebay seller for many years and have never seen such a mess of this system. Is there a place to put shady buyers names out there? Thanks for listening.

For PayPal disputes, the buyer is responsible for return postage. Call PayPal and demand to know why they violated their policy.

I Paypal gave a refund out of your account for an INAD, prior to you getting the item back, call them as it is a requirement for Paypal.
If the dispute was INR, you will be out of luck as no tacking with USPS on line.
I Paypal refunded out of there pocket, you are fine.
We need some more information please.

There is no requirement that the buyer return the item on a PayPal dispute. They, like eBay, don't always require a return. If you want the item back, send the label. Doesn't matter what your return policy says. The buyer has your item and their money back. If you want the item back, send the label.

If that's what she said in the case, they should never have closed it in their favor.
You can tell who is over there running ruining the show ......

OP, what you should have done was immediately said return for refund and had no furthur communication with the buyer. To communicate will only drag out time that you can not afford to waste. Then after a couple of days called the pal and pointed out that you said return and the buyer isn't doing so - please either extend the case OR close it in your favor since the buyer had 6 months to file/complain, anything about the item and didn't do it.
I would be on the phone with paypal and asking - if you said return for refund in the case - and paypal does not require that you send a return ship label, why they are not refunding out of their own pocket and you need your money back since the pal did not follow their own policies that give you the option to tell them to return.
Although I suspect that the buyer might have stumbled on a loophole in the pals dispute system that will favor them. File close to 180 days and since the transaction will roll off at 180, the pal might auto close cases in favor of the buyer.
