Buyer has sent 3 emails asking if we will consider lowering our price on a vintage lego set from 2001.
The last email (we replied to the 1st one - big mistake) and thanked them - not taking offers at this time. 2nd email, we ignored. 3rd email (about 30 min ago) - wants to know how we sleep at night, when that set originally only sold for $29 and we have it listed for $179.99? i.e. what is wrong with us?
We are the lowest price by about $15 on e-Bay and by about $40 on AZ. We have free shipping and yes, it is a smaller set, but it is vintage, new/sealed and from a series that remains hard to come by.
BBL? If they purchase from us, they are not going to be happy, regardless, correct? Or are we looking at this wrong?

Easily, immediately, without hesitation or a second thought, and I would not recommend replying to that message either. There are too many people on eBay who are reasonable and want to pay a fair price for the things you are selling to worry over one BBL.
If I don't think either party is going to be satisfied or more preferably even happy with the outcome of a sale, then yeah, I am not going to do that sale if it's in person, over FB marketplace, etc., so yeah, I also do what I can to have that be the case here on eBay. Sometimes I don't get to know ahead of time (they are winning an auction, and don't send a message, for instance) but if they are going to let me know that there is going to be a problem, then yeah... I am going to do what I can to keep that from happening.

Need you think twice? Look at my neg. BBL - the buyer doesn't understand value appreciation and they're trying to guilt trip you (at least mine didn't do the guilt trip).

Any chance that they will be happy is gone. They will be vindictive-block them.

I have no problem in responding to questions on an item, or providing additional photos if needed. Heck sometimes you might find something that you may have forgotten on your listing and you update it. But, once you start going with the what's the cheapest you can go, without actually submitting an offer, and then providing additional info on why you do not lower the price, that's already a BBL.

Yeah, I'd block that dude in a heartbeat.

I can't believe that you are actually considering NOT blocking them. They would have been blocked so fast their head would be spinning. There are a few things that earn an immediate spot on my BBL. What you just posted is one of them.

Wow. Your neg is mean. Not a nice buyer.
They guilted me pretty bad - it is a smaller set and I have no idea what it cost new - probably was less than $29 in 2001. I tend to price about middle of the pack for the ones listed on the site. Whether I get that or not, remains to be seen. Only had it up for a few weeks, so not willing to really discount just yet.....

It seems like I have been hitting the BBL a lot these past few months........and sales are slower right now. My instinct was to BBL..........lol
Amazing how sales slow and you start to second-guess yourself.

They left some real howlers for other sellers, too - first neg I've had that stuck in 20 years of selling (yep, I'm one of the zillions in the "20 year seller" mob). It was a bit of a relief, to be honest. I also price mid-pack, which I had done for that item - those are hard to find in such pristine condition.

I do realize it is a smaller lego set and probably is kinda absurd based on the size........but it is inability find the set new/sealed that has the pricing where it is. There is always someone who thinks you are taking advantage of items that were intended for kids.........except adults collect these sets too. lol

Let's not forget: it's a collectible toy. A luxury item, not an essential item.

Geez Katz, that was a bad buyer. Absolutely block. NOBODY on here is going to bully me or guilt me to do their will.
