Buyer Entitlement out of Control

Buyer buys 3 items on Buy 2, get 1 free.

Sends hateful email about being "ripped off"!!!

Why is the cheapest one the FREE one??  Who do we think we are???

*sigh*

Look order up.

Item # 1 was $13.87

Item #2 was $13.89

Item #3 was $13.69

All had free shipping.  So the rant/nasty gram was over 18-20 cents?????

Delivered in 3 days btw.  Not that it matters or the Buyer cares.  This carp is absurd.  I just lost $$$ spending any time at all addressing their email!

It is stuff like this that really makes you wonder how many people are out there with several screws loose and then the “screws” cut loose on you. Take a deep breathe and do a block if that will make you feel better.

AND,just to be safe, give this loose screw the .18 cents back in a partial so they leave you alone and you do not get the next round of neg feedback and more nasty stuff.

Have you tried lately?

Seems I have seen it, or perhaps I am so used to seeing carp that my mind just doesn't see the difference.

@vintagecraze50 They have started a return, which is fine by me.  Free shipping to the Buyer and Buyer pays for returns for them and they did not choose a SNAD reason and they stated in their last email they are returning "everything"!!!!! (with a bunch of exclamation points).

First off - the Buy 2 get 1 free is close to a loss leader to begin with, when you are shipping 3 items for free.  Works great for media mail items, but for other items, not so great sometimes.  When that promotion ends on the 15th, I do not think I will do that again.  Only did it to try and drum up some sales.

All you "drum up" are bottom feeder deal seekers who just want their "carp" (or trout or salmon or SPAM) for Free!!!

I I really do wish there was a way when you do the "free" shipping and "free" promo'd stuff(s) that e-Bay would show the line item, then (minus) an amount a Seller calls "shipping" to SHOW these wonder Buyers the "benefit" of their purchase overall savings.  You know, so it would show YOU SAVED XXX dollars today by shopping with this WONDER SELLER!

Will never happen, but am tempted to figure out something on my own.

And I did check - she was only charged for (2) items, received free shipping and her parcel arrived in 3 calendar days from the date of shipment.  It someone does better than that, I am OUT.  Trying as hard as I can and still considered a carpy Seller by this idgit Buyer.   Plah!

Send them the $0.18, and tell them how big an.................................................... they are. (don't we wish we could)

No accounting for those that have no ability to grasp the obvious, and to be hateful over 18 cents.  Is that the type of person that is referred  to as "low grade".  Seriously, 18 cents !!!!!!!!

@buyselljack2016

Sadly, I almost did call her a name.  I had a flaming email all typed out - got called by a customer from day job and derailed from my rant filled email to the e-Bay buyer and after a couple of hours, I just lost the inclination to send the email.  Guess that was good.

So few sales and the ones we are getting are not good Buyers.

I have never been so ready to pack it in.  Clearly not getting anywhere trying to force some "deal" sales - just creating more issues for myself.

Honestly, you get all kinds coming through here.  I recall one seller got a neg because the shipping charged was 50 cents more than the actual shipping.  I think these people have bigger problems than the nickles and dimes.

@chapeau-noir

Dunno....but we're talking about 20 cents more ??

They got a "free" item + free shipping and some how we are horrible seller?

Just so very tired of the attitude.  Or whatever this is called.

The "me" movement.

I worked in a bike shop back in the 80s, and some of our worst customers were people my parents' age - one blew out a new tube installing it on his wheel, came in and complained and said he needed another one.  I asked him what he used to install it and he held up a screwdriver!  I said that was probably not the best tool for the job and got him another tube and began to ring it up.

"You mean you're going to charge me for another one?" He asked, outraged.

I said I couldn't replace it for free.

"Aren't you even going to give me a deal on it?"  (More outrage).

He was hardly the only one.  Sadly, this kind of krap is nothing new - it's just online we don't get only our own local obnoxious people, we get everybody else's, too (kind of like the Village Idiot distribution).

@katzrul15  Hang in there!  You need nerves of steel at times to be in retail of any kind - be glad you have those and don't let these type of people put you on the ledge (though I know how you feel).  Be glad you're not like that, or life would be a constant exercise in frustration.  That's probably why they're so obnoxious - nothing ever goes right for them but they never realise that it's not Life in General that's the problem, it's them.

Well, at least we can giggle behind her back, since Free Shipping means the seller's cost for shipping is included in the less than $14 price.

And she paid it two times.

Buyers looooove Free Shipping and don't want to know that it means shipping included.

Made me lol, and flash back to last week when a lady came to our shop grabs this "retail priced" at over 20$ on the cheap side nickeled  coat rack bar thing asked how much I said 10$ its marked she says how about 5$ so I'm like sure, then she needs change for a 20 and laughs while saying that won't buy a loaf of bread...

So I was like well we give all of our free stuff to the other shops around town and thanks for leaving..oey people.

Me, too!  I want to go into a clothing store, say, with a "Buy Two, Get One Free" offer and pick out one pair of wool socks at $13, one pair of cotton socks at $10, and one silk blouse at $600  -- and get the blouse as the free item.

I'd love to go shopping with you both!!

I do not find many B&M stores that offer any deals like that any more.  Wish they did!!
