Bug in the search system?

I find using the "have one to sell, sell now" listing option the easiest way for me to list the majority of my items as they are all pretty much commodities. The last few days when I search for things I see far fewer results and often times no results at all. This just seems impossible. Are there really any two people selling Red Copper Better Pasta Pot by BulbHead, Locking Handles and Straining Lid 

and this search Hanes Big Boys' Tagless Long Sleeve Tee (Pack of 3) only returns one listing 

These are just a few examples, but it makes me think that there is a bug in the search funtion right now that is affecting listings being seen.

Have you checked to see if your search results have been opted in to "group similar items"?

big boys tees 2, but there a more listed as big mens tees

Looks like sellers are not using bulbhead in the title or item specifics, only one, lidless one does:

I used fewer keywords to net 11 listings in all catagories "red copper pasta pot". I only get 1 listing for "Hanes big boy tee". I tried several variations but still only 1 listing. I have searched for stuff many times recently and come up with zero results when I know for fact there were items for sale.

So here's one Hanes Men's Big Red Label X-Temp Thermal Long Sleeve Crew Top, Black, Medium

Why is the listing that is actually for a medium towards the bottom of the page? Instead eBay shows me 20 other listings that are not specifically what I searched for before showing one that is exactly what I searched for. The search system is broken.

BULBHEAD, and many others, are using the VERO system to close down listings.
They will state to eBay what you are selling is Counterfeit, or a Trademark violation.
They will do so without asking you for proof, and if you have some, e.i. a receipt from a Retail Store, they will give no quarter.
The only reasonable course of action is to not purcahse their products if you ever intend to resell them.
