Can I sell Christmas tree bubble lights on eBay? They keep pulling them when I list them and saying that they are restricted to sell on eBay. I was selling the newer sets of lights and bubble night lights, not the old vintage ones. I see other people are selling them left and right! Please advise!

If they keep removing the listing, I'd stop relisting before they suspend your account.

It appears that those have been banned on eBay. They probably don’t distinguish between vintage and new ones. Have you contacted ebay on Facebook? Don’t call them. You can report the listings you see.

Just no.
"Underneath their joyful appearance, there lurks a hidden hazard. The fluid inside old or new bubble lights most frequently is methylene chloride. Methylene chloride can cause serious poisoning if it is inhaled, swallowed, or spilled on the skin."

I did contact them on Facebook, they just gave me a round about answer, but not really answering it.....they said this....
If the item continues to get pulled, we ask that it not be listed again, or it can result in something like an account restriction (which we ant to avoid). We also want to highlight that just because other sellers may have posted items that might not be allowed doesn’t make it OK to post those items yourself. Due to the volume of listings, it's an ongoing process for us and we are constantly working to review new/active listings and action any in violation. Rest assured we will be taking appropriate action on those not following our rules and guidelines on the site. Please be sure not to relist that for sale or it can result in things like account restrictions which we want to avoid....
Didn't answer my question.....

I have some of these and will be figuring out how to safely throw them away this year.

The liquid is a dangerous poison. Need to say more?

don't bother selling em: not worth the risk of not being able to sell on eBay at all.
Software looks for these items and not a person. its automated; so bubble light and your listing is toast.
eBay does not have the personal to go through all this stuff: much less the training need to do so, so you will lose no mater what.

My advice is: Do not relist these. If you do, you risk having your account permanently suspended.
Whether the ones you have are safe or not, the bots make no distinction and it is not worth trying to fight this. I know it seems unfair, because some people get caught and some do not, and some are selling hazardous bubble lights and some are not. But, for your own sake, just forget trying to sell the ones you have on eBay.
And, by the way, even some of the new ones use methylene chloride and can be dangerous.

I DID!
I guess I didn't make myself clear, I did not relist them, but had one listed still after I checked to see if they were all pulled off, I had missed one......

I don't know if you have this outlet, but they sell quite well at the antique stores and flea markets.

Don't relist. I also had some newer ones removed. I just looked and there are very few listed now and are mostly new listings that will probably be removed. There are a few listings for parts such as cords, clips & replacement bulbs.

Great advice - these are often a fire hazard - they get hot/overheat and melt.
They look cool, but many were also recalled.
