Why has eBay not blocked sellers from Russia. Russians are selling items stolen from Ukraine. Come on EBay, join the rest of the civilized world and cut them off!

All of them work with various dangerous levels of pathogens. Even college UNIVERSITIES study and work with some of these biohazards.
People without background knowledge should just not hold forth on some topics.
I didn't "hold forth" on anything. I said that Nuland's response "left me wondering" but that "I don't know what's what." That is not holding forth. That is being an American with not only the right, but the obligation, to try to stay informed of what we used to call current events.
Nuland is not an amateur in international affairs and politics. Far from it. And her halting and circumspect answer to a question clearly posed for a yes-or-no answer struck me as odd and left me wondering what the labs are.
The Senator asked, "Does Ukraine have chemical or biological weapons," and the way he posed it and the way he reacted tto Nuland's response, made me think he also expected a yes-or-no (surely no, in fact) answer.
If my governmet did not want me to be informed, to try understand what is going in, it would not broadcast such hearings for my attention and consideration. I watch C-SPAN because there are is no commentary, and I am trusted as a citizen viewer to be able to make my own interpretations and draw my own conclusions. My government thinks I'm capable of watching its proceedings without my hand being held.
Sometimes, as in this case, I'm just not sure what to make of what I saw and heard, but I may and can still comment on it.

Then why watch/search for the YouTube clips? The point of that is….? Watch the proceedings in their ENTIRETY. The very knowledge of these clips proves people haven’t.
It’s no different than claims the nurse died from her vaccine (fainted), or that a pic of Biden hugging a child proves he’s a pedophile (granddaughter at son Beau’s funeral), or that a clip of a moving corpse proves Ukrainian deaths are fake ((British protest from 2013). It’s just endless and a certain segment of society eats it up…. despite the “Sandy Hook was faked” blog “expert” just being righteously creamed in court…. and the unemployed loser who faked Q being ID’d.
Rubin panders and showboats, as do cronies like Green, Cruz, and Bobert.
Their very questions are more suspect than anyone’s answer, because their agendas are to undercut Biden, provide fake validation to their base (and cater to their worst impulse/fears), gain street cred (in their minds) to build a presidential bid at any cost for personal gain.
I don’t believe for one second that any of the lot of them actually believe their drivel or fake “uncovering” of nefarious activities.
Ukranian bio-research is nothing more than the new Pizzagate.
The “questioning,” because it’s their American “right”, and their government wants them to, should get off social media and do a minimal amount of research and fact checking.
Do folks with this mindset know the answer to ANY of my questions? No? Did any of them look it up? Probably not. Did I change I any minds? No.
Pattern. Echo chamber.
Meanwhile, the very America they claim to love is being weakened… to the glee of autocrats worldwide.
Because democracy is fragile and we, after all, are still a baby nation with only 200 years of history.
The “I’m just questioning “ terrify me. Because they really AREN’T, in any true INQUIRY sense of the word.
They’re just drinking the Koolaid.

Perhaps you may wish to examine your own responses, to see if they are as measured as you must believe them to be, or as good a defense of civil discourse as I'm sure you're capable of.
You are quite wrong to think that those two minutes are all I watched of those proceedings.
I went to YouTube to find that clip because someone had brought up that particular exchange and since I, too, was left wondering about it, as was a Canadian friend with whom I'd just been chatting, I decided to comment. (I believe that used to be called "conversation.")
I found the clip to "cite my sources," so to speak. I simply went to YouTube, searched on C-SPAN NULAND and chose it from the many clips from the proceedings. Given your own strong academic background, I should think you would approve of that.
As for Nuland, herself, her observations, opinions, comments, and knowledge, matter, given her intimate and extensive involvement in Maidan in 2013, and all events subsequent to that. Indeed, Ukraine has been an important part of her remit under Presidents Bush, Obama, and Biden.

I’m not even going to dignify that by pointing out that searching for the sound bite that supports preconceived ideas is not a legit citation or research.
And by the way, one of my Master’s is in medical anthropology. I know a wee bit about pathogens, disease vectors, and bio research.
Taking a breath before answering a jubilantly accusatory question does not imply evil purpose.
People who think they are the only ones who have uncovered heretofore unknown activities…. really haven’t.

It would not be legitimate if it were a case of confirmation bias; i.e., if among many different clips of Nuland answering the senator's question, and answering it in many different ways, I "cited" only that one. But that exchange was the only one, throughout the proceedings, on that particular matter. So it is perfectly appropriate and legitimate, from an academic point of view.
And, by the way, if Ukraine does do bio- and chemical- weapons research, I wouldn't find that surprising. Many countries do, whether they admit to it or not. Ukraine might well do, because they know that Russia most certainly does (as do some members of NATO, of which Ukraine is not a part and who are, therefore, another, potential threat).

You can bet MOST developed countries have these facilities.
How the heck are they supposed to deal with a bio weapon attack if they don't have research about it?
This thread is nothing more than an attempt to stir the pot, with a bunch of so called adults bickering. It's pointless, and quite frankly does not belong on a selling forum.
Take it to Facebook children.

Don’t laugh too hard. I probably have more experience than you. I’m an ex medical professional who can tell you CDC is full of **bleep**.
They took Chernobyl couple weeks ago?! Do you know how dangerous it is? It’s not your school lad pathogens. Nobody cares much about that.
Question is why “ordinary” US labs are needed to be so far away in the East Europe where’re not much regulations and human rights…

“How the heck are they supposed to deal with a bio weapon attack if they don't have research about it?”
So everybody forgot how US went to stop biological weapons research in Iraq/Iran?! Why they couldn’t do it for the same reasons.
Also, Ukraine isn’t a developed, but developing country .
“Ukraine is a developing country with a lower-middle income economy, ranking 74th in the Human Development Index. Ukraine is among the poorest countries in Europe. As of 2020 it suffers from low life expectancy and widespread corruption.[13][14] However, due to its extensive fertile land, Ukraine is one of the largest grain exporters in the world.“ (WiKi)

Hi everyone,
This thread is getting a bit heated. Please remember that, while it is fine to disagree with others, discussion should always remain courteous and respectful.
Thank you for your cooperation.

I doubt it. Ebay does not allow the sale of bioweapons.
03-14-2022 06:06 PM
Of course they do bio-research.
But not for weaponization, as some groups are trying to imply (thereby supporting Putin’s false flag).
03-15-2022 11:25 AM
Exactly. It doesn’t need to be here. I try not to watch news anymore. And I don’t want to be triggered to be involved in it when I just go to sell something.
I don’t want to fight about politics over there, but when I see these posts constantly I can’t help sometimes.
These posts provoke aggression on the forum.

But you literally don't HAVE to click on every thread, and if the title of this one didn't strike you as probably going to get political, then what would???
