Block List

I was suspicious and not sure at first but now I have 100% proof that previously blocked users are being taken out of my block list without my consent. Today after having an incident with a member I compared my personal notes of blocked bidders to actual block list on ebay to find out that many of the buyers I blocked more than a year ago were out of the list. This is unacceptable. Ebay has to respect my decision if don't want to do business with someone!

Have you reached your limit of 5,000?

Did you find any 'member deleted' or strings of letters and numbers in your blocked bidder list?  These are IDs that were removed from eBay for various reasons, or who have canceled their account.  eBay did a purge a bit ago.  I have some that are now missing, and when I investigated, they no longer existed on the site.

Thank you for your reply. I had an incident with 2 buyers today who managed to put a bid with their once blocked username. They are still members on ebay somehow they are out of my blocked list.

Most of my block list buyers has been removed. I don’t think I had reached the limit amount. Maybe those removed was too old. Also, isn’t there a easier way to get to the block list? I don’t go there often and forget how to get to the list. Wish there were a click to that site.

I added it to my Favorites/Bookmarks. I found I was using it several times a month and it was just easier to add it there than to spend time searching for it

I think they are on parole.

It's under 'shortcuts' on my seller hub - if you don't have it there, you can create it by hitting the little cog symbol at the right upper corner of that particular section. I don't recall even putting it in as a shortcut when I set up seller hub, it was there already by default.

You're not alone.

Some other sellers have reported the same thing.

Block List

I have a large number of eBay members in my BBL, built up over many years. For the past 10-12 months, there has been no blocks performed. Prior to that, several blocks would occur each month, especially when I listed something juicy and the (self-inflicted censure)  tried to swoop in.

Seems strange....now I see no blocking activity for months at a time.

I was suspicious of he same thing.  I would add someone to my blocked list.  Then i would go back and look at the list again and the name would be gone.

Then I realized ..... i would add the name to the bottom of my list. After entered, the name would then be placed in alphabetical order and no longer be at the bottom of my list.
