I have had a problem with a bidder for years. She has also haunted the pages of other sellers. She bids on items, decides she doesn't want to pay, gets negative feedback, gets suspended and then makes up yet another new bidder name and carries on. She's not getting caught, and I have tried to report this to Ebay a few times now. I even block her names as I find them. I have also asked her NOT to follow my auctions and to leave me alone and she never responds. She just keeps bidding! I can't even tell until after the auctions end if it's even her or not, but when I do, I promptly cancel the transaction. She's costing me money and time. I don't understand how in the world she can keep making up new names without getting flagged for her IP address alone. Has anyone encountered this before? I honestly do not know what to do anymore.

Sellers have not been able to leave negative (or neutral) feedback for buyers for many years.

trinton@ebay would you help or weigh in on this issue?? Why or how does a repeat offender/buyer continue to bid on and sabotage a sellers auctions after being suspended reported multiple times??

@designforyou you have to put an @ at the start and wait for the popup as you type in the name.

Because she has actually followed through on only some of the auctions, also contacted me on my website as well as another selling format. I know her name, address, I've even tried to contact her on Facebook. She buys under her son's name as well. As I stated, this has been going on for a very long time.

So either we have the same stalker or this is a rampant and common problem.
Sorry to hear you're having the issue as well.

Users bidding and then not paying is very widespread. I stopped using the auction format years ago, just BIN.

I don't do auctions much anymore, but I can see why the OP does on some of her items - they're perfect for the auction format.
Honestly, I wonder if eBay for business on facebook can help? This situation is nuts.

dtexley is trying to explain to you the correct procedure for tagging an eBay employee to get him to come to the thread. The @ sign before the staff member's ID is required to be typed first, then followed by the eBay ID. Otherwise your use of the employee's name is merely a text and not a 'call' and won't get that person's attention.

@pink-girl-vintage - Yes, others have encountered this or similar situations. In all honesty, the block list is pretty meaningless because eBay just lets this kind of thing slide and there are no consequences for serial abusers who try to circumvent your block list.
For the last 6 months, we have been targeted by a scammer who keeps using different guest accounts to try to purchase from us, then he files false SNAD claims, and then provides fake tracking numbers to get eBay to force a refund even though nothing is ever actually returned. He uses different guest accounts and different PayPal accounts, but the shipping address is always exactly the same, so it is definitely the same person and it should not be difficult for eBay to figure that out.
eBay has refused to do anything to block that address or prevent this person from continuing to attempt to defraud us, so we have to watch our orders like a hawk, catch anything that comes through from that address, and cancel before it ships to avoid having more items stolen from us. If you want all the gory details, here's the thread I started to document that situation. https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Targeted-By-Malicious-Buyer-False-Returns/td-p/29512410
I wish there was more I could say to help you, but at least know you are not alone and your frustration is certainly justified.
