Anyone have any great tricks?
Usually just use goo gone, but this pallet is a return pallet to Best Buy, Frys, REI, World Market and Pier One. Pier One are all closeout stickers and multiples on each item. This is taking forever and does not help I am sitting in a mosty-toasty warehouse with no A/C, just a giant fan.
Please share your best tactics to safely rid your product of stickers of all types - these return stickers are monster-sized and not coming off at all! Help!

Pure Citrus orange air freshener works best. Be careful, it sprays fast and you only need a little. Spray, leave for a few seconds and scrape (small razor) the sticker residue off. You will need to wipe and spray with neutral cleaner afterwards to remove citrus smell. I used to be a merchandiser and this was the go-to for cleaning store beams after removing price stickers. Be careful where you spray as you don't want to ruin the product, it has oils in it. It is great for removing residue anywhere. I have even used it to remove paint scrapes on my car.

Hair Dryer or heat gun on a really low setting. They peel right of with no extra sticky stuff left behind.

A hot air gun should work, but there still may leftover glue residue. Your Goo Gone will clean that.

@1786davycrockett wrote:"Tell me more.............there are a ton of 409 variants..........I have a few of them - which one do you use?"
The label on the spray bottle reads "Formula 409 All Purpose Cleaner -- Now Kills Bacteria!"
I learned about 409 from another old-time book dealer, who'd been using it since the late 1970s -- just a few undiluted squirts on a paper towel, and a little light rubbing, and most of the gunk loosens up enough to wipe away.
Give it a try!
Okay - there are MANY great ideas on this thread - Thank you, thank you!!
Have spent the morning using 409 and then a quick squirt of goo gone. Thousands times FASTER than goo gone, solo!
@1786davycrockett- thank you!!!!

This is an underrated solution. Used quite often in my category when we absolutely can't get something off or doing so may cause too damage. Use one of the giant Sharpies & just black it all out.

I don't know if you need any more best tactics or tips but I sell a lot of books and remove labels from paper everyday. I recommend getting a plastic peeler/label and sticker remover (mine is Scotty, 3 for $8 incl. shipping). You can also try using a knife scraper if you don't have to worry about damaging the surface. My other tools are a hairdryer, a bottle of cleaning spray, I use a generic, environmentally friendly one (but many have suggested 409 so try that), and a spray bottle of Isopropyl alcohol solution (you can buy premixed or make your own), and lots of clean chamois cloths. I typically warm up the surface and then use the plastic peeler or fingers will work too, to peel off. ISO removes permanent marker and sticker residue handily from coated paper. Cardboard can be tricky with some permanent labels. Can you remove as much of the sticker as you can, and then just put a clean sticker on top so it looks clean and neat. I do this when I am reusing cardboard boxes.

Glad to oblige -- and thanks to my sadly missed ol' book buddy, Mark "Green Lion" Goodman, who taught me lots of useful (and some not-so-useful, and downright illegal!) book knowledge -- we all miss you, Lone Ranger!

Savvy paper crafters use a product called "Un-du." It's available on eBay, as well as from any number of online retailers.

It does work really well - even on cardboard, which was a welcome event today! Today was much more productive, over 50 products with ALL of their stickers removed! Whew & YAY! Progress!

But if the peanut butter doesn't work you can always eat the product. Mmmm...yum yum.....

One word of caution from personal experience: when working with alcohol or acetone, be aware that it may 'melt' some plastics, creating a bigger mess. Lost a couple of external Floppy Disc drives that way, or at least their cases. Turns out I had a few drives in good cases that just didn't work - so I swapped cases and everything worked out well. Made a pretty penny selling those drives, and they were super easy to ship (durable plastic case - just drop them in a bubble envelope, label, and go).

Thanks, Bob!
I have combo'd the 409 spray with Goo Gone spray and it is working really, really well.
Have also figured out that if you leave stuff(s) in a hot car all day, the labels come off pretty easily as well! lol

Thanks! Many suggested it - would need an 8ft plus, extension cord at the warehouse, but will try it once it gets cooler.
