A few weeks ago I sold an item and I paid for shipping ready to send the item out the next day. The buyer had paid for first class however, they requested that I ship Air mail instead of first class and that they were angry if I didn't do so. They were then also requesting a different shipping address as well. They are now messaging me weeks later saying that I will sell them the item to them or they will leave negative feedback on my profile. They also claim they've contacted ebay and that I was wrong to cancel the order. They are harrassing me and won't leave me alone. I have blocked them from buying any of my items. Is there anyway I can report this to ebay before they leave negative feedback? I will obviously dispute it if they do so.

Requesting shipping to a different address is against policy, and cancelling because of "problem with address" is the right action to take when the buyer says the address they provided is incorrect. (And you've verified the person asking for a different address is the actual buyer? Not a scammer trying to get a free item you sold to someone else?)
If you get negative feedback, file for a request to have it removed on the grounds that you cancelled because the buyer said the address they provided was not correct and as per policy, you need to ship to the address they provided. Also they paid for FC service, and requesting a more expensive service without paying is also a violation of policy.
You'll be fine. If you get that negative come back, we can help.

Sellers should ONLY send the item to the ORIGINAL address connected with the sale -- if the buyer wishes to ship to another address, the buyer should have used that address in the FIRST place.
If a seller ships to a secondary address (rather than the primary address associated with the sale), the seller is no longer protected by the eBay Seller Guarantee, and an unscrupulous buyer can open an "item not received" case against the seller, since the item does not show receipt at the primary address.
And the time for a buyer to negotiate the shipping method is BEFORE making the purchase -- NOT afterwards.
The buyer cannot leave negative feedback, since no sale has been completed.

I don't think it's been mentioned yet, but the person is also extorting you with the threat of negative feedback, which is also a violation of ebay policy. They are a walking violation at this point. They've broken policy in a number of ways. As long as you ship to the ebay address and follow everything you said you'd do in the listing, you're easily, very easily covered in this instance.

I wouldn't worry about any of these threats because you've done everything within the guidelines and them threatening you about the feedback in itself is a violation. Requesting a different address after they paid is also a violations and warrants the cancellation of the order. As other have mentioned, if you of get negative feedback, come back here and many of us can help :). No need to stress over awful people 🙂

There is not an "Air Mail" option for shipping. Most mail including First Class now goes Air by default, unless the destination is close. There is a "Ground" postage option, which can be cheaper but can lengthen delivery date.
And I'm not sure, but I don't think someone can leave feedback on a cancelled order,

I agree with @ikonicstudios .
You did everything right. No need to worry.
Just ignore the buyer. They will eventually go away.
If they are able to leave you a negative, which I don't think they can because the sale was cancelled, come back and let us know.

At one point they could... but it was removable. eBay even told me if I had to cancel an order they could leave feedback but it would be removable.

"Most mail including First Class now goes Air by default"
I was informed on a different thread that the new Postmaster had canceled USPS First Class service by mail in January as another "cost-savings" measure -- can anyone confirm?

NO
I was at the P.O. today.
They explained that the service was one day or 2 days on my item.
Had a grand total of 20 cents different.

Thats not true. Delivery standards on some FC mail were changed, depending on distance.

Did you block them so they can no longer purchase from you?

REPORT the buyer: https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/rules-policies-buyers/abusive-buyer-policy?id=4374
Block them: https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/BuyerBlock
Ignore them and go about your life. Don't give them a second thought. By letting this bother you, they win.

You did exactly the right thing cancelling the order. The buyer is way out of line here. They have no right to ask you to ship via a different method than you stated on the listing and that they paid for.
Even if the buyer were to leave such feedback on your account, you could get it removed because you do not have to comply with their demands.
You did a great job and spotted the problem before it got out of hand.
Make sure you put this buyer on your BBL, while that won't stop them right now because you had this transaction, it will in the future once this transaction is 90+ days old.
Now to stop this buyer from sending the emails I suggest you notify Ebay. Tell them exactly what this buyer is doing and saying and what you did. You will not get in trouble because you did the right thing. Your buyer is just blowing smoke and trying to bully you into submission. Very important, notify Ebay so they can stop the buyer.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service.

https://www.facebook.com/eBayForBusiness/
If when you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant, type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options.

Next, make sure you report the buyer for abuse of the system. Just say what you said here in your opening statement. But report them so Ebay gathers the data on them abusing the system.
