Listing Designer was free with a premium store and suddenly it's charging me - .10 per auction and .30 per 30day FP.............What the Bleep is THIS??
Might I also add there is NO way to REMOVE LD in the new Listing Tool as the Tool doesn't support it.
This was pointed out to the blues as a problem when the New Advanced Listing Tool was introduced, but NOTHING was done about it.
So now what? I'm not going to keep listing and racking up these fees and HOPE some CSR can remove them (probably 2 invoices down the road).
WHY am I being charged for them ANYWAY when it's FREE with a Premium store.........or was.
Is this another eBay fee grab and a change in the middle of the night with no notice?
How DARE you charge for a service you took away the ability to remove?????
This needs to be fixed NOW

I personally closed my store and only have 25 listings now, they lost over 500 listings from me monthly and the sales that they produced, along with the store subscription. Very poor customer service, expecting all us sellers to create new listings for these items.

As you might guess from my auctions I am a systems engineer and its in my nature to find speedy and simple cures for glitchy issues. Here is the very best cure to knock out the horrifically pesky eBay "Listing Designer", "Gallery Plus", and "Subtitle" pricey glitches that are currently plaguing the heck out of eBay. I also called and had tech support drill this method in their support answer system as a cure-all to this issue. And the best part is even for the biggest auctioneer with hundreds of auctions, this will work for you and you will invest no more than 30 minutes of your time tops to fixing all you hundreds of pre-existing auctions. Here's what you do:
1. Download eBay's now extinct Turbo Lister v2.0 app from a reliable source and load it on your PC.
http://download.ebay.com/turbo_lister2/TurboListerInstall.htm
2. Sign in with it and synchronize it with all your auctions -- don't worry if you didn't use Turbo Lister to make the auctions, because it will still work and I will tell you how to clear the glitches that will happen.
3. Once it is done synchronizing, expand Turbo Lister to take up your whole screen just to make things easier, grab all your auctions at once, right click on all of them, click "EDIT MULTIPLE ITEMS", expand that window to take up your whole screen for the sake of ease, scroll down the right hand side to "Listing Upgrades" and put a check mark in "Value Pack: COMBINE GALLERY PLUS, SUBTITLE AND LISTING DESIGNER AND RECEIVE A DISCOUNT!", even if you see a solid blue square in the check box (that just means some of your auctions have this feature already), then after the "Value Pack" check is in place it automatically check marks Gallery Plus,
FYI: at this point, if for some reason you want to keep either the subtitle or Gallery Plus on some of your auctions then you will have to separate off those particular auction groups and custom handle those auction entries one by one or you will eliminate all your custom subtitles on accident handling them as a MULTIPLE ITEM group edit.
Then click the button "Listing Upgrades", in this window just put an "x" or anything you want in the "Subtitle" field (it won't work without something in this field), then click SAVE in the lower right hand corner and click OK in the dialog box that pops up asking you to confirm changes, the "EDIT MULTIPLE ITEMS" window closes and you get another dialog box that pops up and hit OK in it as well, WARNING! DO NOT SYNCHRONIZE YET!, and yes, I know we just turned all these unwanted features on all of our auctions in your downloaded auctions hive - just bear with me because this clears a glitch, now right click the entire grouping of auction hives again and hit "EDIT MULTIPLE ITEMS" again, expand that window to take up your whole screen for the sake of ease, scroll down the right hand side to "Listing Upgrades" and REMOVE the check mark in "Value Pack: COMBINE GALLERY PLUS, SUBTITLE AND LISTING DESIGNER AND RECEIVE A DISCOUNT!", then you get another dialog box that pops up asking if you would like to keep your subtitles and click NO, then SAVE the "Listing Designer (Multiple Values)" window again.
At this point, custom check all of your auctions individually that you are certain that you don't want any SUBTITLES and make sure there is no text left in those Subtitle Fields, or else when you synchronize Turbo Lister will accidentally add that subtitle in your auction. Make sure all the SUBTITLE fields are blank.
Also, DO NOT BOTHER WITH the Listing Designer tab in the Description Builder button -- it will not eliminate Listing Designer in your auctions properly. All that is good for is to check to see if Listing Designer is unchecked. If it is checked, you have to do the steps above again for the actions that still have this undesirable feature checked.
Once you are sure all your downloaded auctions look good and have all your pics uploaded correctly, then synchronize and all those pesky features will be removed. If you screw up and synchronize accidentally adding some or a bunch of these options on accident and then remove them and see that you are being billed for them, just call eBay and explain that you were trying to use Turbo Lister to get rid of these features and they will remove the fees. I had no problems with them removing fees when I finally got this figured out with trial and error. But if you do it right the first time following my steps you should have no problems.
Hope this helps a lot of sellers :0)

I know it was mentioned, but the EXACT "HOW TO" is far from obvious and not to mention complicated and buggy.... meaning using Turbo Lister you MUST go through this process of ADDING "Value Pack" on every auction in a group edit hitting save and THEN remove it from every auction in a group edit hitting save, and all before synchronizing anything back to eBay or you will be charged accidentally for all the added "Value Packs" before you delete them. However, that can be corrected by calling eBay account & payments support to have them remove the charge, and they did for me with no hesitation after I explained what I was trying to do and how it worked to remove Listing Designer. You have to follow those exact steps I left. Otherwise you will be on a wild goose chase individually in each auction hive trying to remove just the "Use Listing Designer" through unchecking the check box buried in "Description Builder", which is the only place that Listing Designer is located where you can uncheck it. But the unchecking functionality DOES NOT WORK if you did not create the auction using listing designer -- so you see eBay sellers plaged by this issue all over the internet giving up on Turbo Lister thinking it won't work if you didn't create your listing in Turbo Lister. The cure is hidden with using "Listing Upgrades" adding and then deleting the entire Value Pack right clicking on multiple listing hives at once before synchronizing -- also, making sure all the subtitle fields are completely blank on all your auctions, or then you have a second glitched problem of accidentally adding the $6 subtitle on any auction that has so much as a "." in the subtitle field. The only hint that adding and subtracting "Value Pack" is that the checkbox for adding "Value Pack" states specifically "combine Gallery Plus, Subtitle, and Listing Designer and receive a discount". So, in the end, as a reality check for all the sellers out there of how worth it it might be to give this cure a try to eliminate these 3 pesky features, after I informed eBay tech support of this hidden cure to eliminate all 3 of these stubborn features, and I asked to be reimbursed for these fees that have been forced on my account since the change in September 2017, I logged in to find that eBay had credited my seller account for $1,649.94 USD in accumulated fees from these darn locked in features since September 2017. Pretty worth my while to get this resolved... and pretty respectable of eBay to credit my account so quickly and thank me for detailing the hidden work around of exactly how to use Turbo Lister to successfully remove these legacy features.
