Did you mean:

Be warned that ebay's customer services and seller protections are both non existent.

I just got bullied by an ignorant buyer abusing ebay buyer protection policy. She received the items as described but she insisted that wrong items were sent. Ebay has no customer services available except a computer agent. The automatic agent, as usual,  is extremely stupid. It's no help but wasting my time. I Anyone who has options not selling on ebay should not help corrupt and greedy ebay make money.

eBay does not and never has offered general Seller Protection for a Not As Described claim by a buyer.

I see you have sold about 24,000 items, have you never sent a buyer the wrong item? If not, congratulations, you are part of a very rare group of sellers.

That happens sometimes when a seller doesn't accept returns.

If the buyer isn't happy, they know they can lie and file an INAD for a refund.

Have a great day.

Buyer bullies about whatever they make up as an excuse for a return request is irrelevant on here as far as seller protection. In these cases you send them a return shipping label and if they send back nothing or not what you sent and you offer returns and a shipping label deduct up to 50 percent off the return money. That’ll teach em NOT TO BULLY to some extent I guess.

Never helpful to dismiss an unhappy buyer as simply confused or lying. Most people are honest, so I treat a buyer who reports an issue as deserving of the benefit of the doubt. They didn’t buy it just to cause trouble. You’ve been here a long time as a very successful seller. You’re feedback paints a picture of a conscientious and concerned seller. Likely, you have a plan to deal with occasional losses.

You’ve sold multiple items this month (congrats!). Yes, the buyer may be mistaken, but the possibility remains you could be too.

I would promise the buyer a refund, send a prepaid label (if you want back whatever was sent), and grant the return when it comes back. If you don’t, the Money Back Guarantee trumps all seller terms and the refund will be enforced, you’ll still be out the return shipping anyway (if you want it back) and a defect could be logged on your account. The buyer might well report in feedback that you refused to correct an error.

It’s up to you now. Good luck with whatever you decide.

That is very true. They knew that they were lying all the way but would lose all integrity to get a free shipping label and waste so much of sellers' time. They don't care about anything but just save a few buck on return shipping. I finally realized this. The Ebay seller protection used to make some sense when there were customer service reps to look at buyers' lies. Ebay now also has no integrity, letting buyers lie and bully sellers. I am writing this just to let sellers know how bad ebay is to sellers.

Yes lets just act like this ebay flaw in the system is normal and there can't be anything done to help deal with this type of abuse.

Its a flaw.  Why won't ebay help reduce the abuse of it?  It would make the site better.  Cutting down fraud is great, wherever it can be reduced right?  For buyers.  For sellers.  It all improves the site.
