Hello,
I'm looking to list a baseball card for sale. I know it is going to sell for over $250. I'd like to start the auction listing much lower and allow people to bid on it. I don't see anything on the selling form about the eBay Authenticity Guarantee. Will this just appear on my listing once the bidding goes past $250? I see other auction listings that have the Authenticity Guarantee on them but the bidding isn't anywhere near $250. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, the whole idea of an auction is to get as much as you can for the item. You could get much more than $250 so don't cancel it after you've reached that price and let it ride. People tend to bid at the last moment. Also...watch your bidders. Lots of sports bidders out there that will run up the price and not pay. If you feel it's worth more than $250, ask for what you think it would sell for and use a buy it now fixed price with immediate payment required. NO best offers either. Auctions for items like yours are scam magnets. Be cautious.
Happy Selling!

Ok thanks for the help. I think I'm going to start the auction low and let them fight for it. If they don't pay I can always relist it.
Why are there some listings with auctions that have the Authenticity Guarantee but haven't reached $250 yet?

Honestly, I don't know. Like I stated earlier people bid at the last moment. That could very well be your situation and hopefully a nice outcome, financially. 😊
Wishing you Good luck and Big Bucks!
