BE removed from substandard defect list

I refunded completely a returned item, but it still shows as a defect and makes me substandard ?

how do I remove this defect ??

To the best of my knowledge, once a defect is recorded, it remains, even if you fixed the problem.

Are you seeing this defect in Cases without Seller Resolution? 

If eBay actually applied the refund in your behalf, the defect will stick.

Or are you seeing this defect in Seller Metrics? Those never get removed no matter what. If a case is filed the defect sticks no matter the outcome for both INAD and INR.

Transaction defects are caused by either (a) not resolving the case before eBay steps in, or (b) a seller-initiated cancellation.

Giving a full refund in either of those cases makes the buyer whole, but does not remove the defect.
