Automatic relist up to 8 times with no listing fee

Did anyone else lose this ability to check the box to automatically relist your item up to 8 times with no insertion fees?  I no longer have this option and have talked to customer service 4 times and got 4 different answers!

I've never had the ability and yes, quite a few people have commented on the boards that they are no longer able to see that option.   Perhaps ebay only allows sellers a certain amount of time to use it.

eBay enables that feature for new and casual sellers. Once your sales volume picks up, eBay removes the feature from your account @yodipuppy.

I am thinking since Ebay already gives you 250 freebies a month, they stopped all the extra freebies. Not only that if you have to relist AT AUCTION 8 times you are waaay over-priced.

Not over-priced, just in an over-saturated category...  I have auctions starting in the $1.99 - $4.99 range getting no views 😞  Figured I'd try out this auto-relist option & see if that helps with exposure. So far, meh.

Strangely enough I'll have an item at auction for super cheap but it won't sell until I've significantly upped the price then "put it on sale" as a Buy It Now.  Psychology of shopping I guess. Buyer feels like they are getting a deal & I'm selling it for a few dollars over my initial opening auction price 🙂

I've been a Seller for more than a decade & have paid for a Store subscription for over 5 years. I have over 1000 listings up regularly & I have the auto re-list 8 times option on my pages...

Not sure when it first appeared but just recently started using it.

My mom just started selling this year. Casual Seller, no store. She has it too.

I'm not sure time on the site or level of sales dictates the features availability.  Maybe it's the category you sell in? We both mainly sell clothing & that is all either of us have up for auction.

(I just tried dummy listings in dvds & household decor & the option was there too)

Nobody wants to wait around for an Auction, they are DEAD unless you have something that is not "over-saturated"

It's not "strangely enough" it is totally predictable, you joined eBay just as Auction listings really started to fade away, the decline has been continuous since then.

There are some Categories where Auctions still do reasonably well but used clothing isn't one of them unless you are listing luxury brands at very low starting prices. People will always pay more for instant gratification, many who might be interested think about coming back and bidding near the end but have forgotten all about it or more likely found a Fixed Price listing to buy instead.

This problem has already been discussed on several threads to no definite conclusion. eBay seems to be making the 8 relists for auctions available to select sellers in a random manner. An eBay CS has told several users that this perk is available only to new sellers to help them get going, but we have seen long-standing sellers get it too. My guess is it's controlled by an eBay bot that looks at your current and past sales history and decides if you get it or keep it. Your recent sales have been good so perhaps the bot has decided you no longer need help. It really seems to be a hit-and-miss thing.
