I am not sure how long this has been available, however, this morning is the first time I have seen it on my account. This could be a real time saver if you post regularly on social media. I enable it and I will be putting up some new listings later today to see how it works.

As far as I know, there is no way to tell if an eBay sale was generated from a visit to a social media post unless the buyer mentions it.
There are no additional eBay fees associated with using social media to drive traffic to your eBay listings. The FVFs are the same and the social tools on eBay are free to use.

I forgot to mention...
You can see how much traffic was generated from your social posts through Seller Hub>Marketing>Social and then click on the View Analytics button.

For anyone wondering what it looks like when you're setting it up, once you have your social accounts connected, it looks like you can just select which categories (eBay or Store) you want them to draw from and they'll take it from there.
Here's what they show for example posts for Facebook and Pinterest.
Looks like eBay has changed the wording a bit. I would guess this is to address the lag time issues with auto-posting.
To me, it reads like, Hey, we will auto-post some of your new listings, at some point in time 🤣

@mcdougle4248 well I guess they get points for slightly more transparency if nothing else. 😂

I know this is an old post now but you should look at your links from the posts back to your items and determine if it's worth the automated 10 posts or setting up an eBay Partner Network account and creating your own links and sharing across more than just 2 social media sites that you could cross list to and sell for less fees already. There are a lot of apps and services which will auto post all your daily listings to your social media but similar to an affiliate seller on Amazon put in their account code in the link so they get a percentage of a penny for every click back to eBay. eBay does nothing for free so carefully look at your FB posts, see if it's more of an ad for eBay than for your store.
