I need advice. A buyer purchased a card from me, which would normally go through the Authenticity Guarantee if purchased by someone in the US. I do not ship internationally. He is listed as living in Hong Kong but says he has an American address. What do I do? Is this safe?

An international buyer can use a US address to have their items shipped. They also can use a freight forwarder located in the US to ship their item to them.
All safe, I had buyers from other countries either send to a relative living in the states or freight forwarding service without any problems.

If he pays for an authentication item I think the only address you will see with the payment will be that of the authenticator. They will take care of it beyond that point.

That is how I have read it. US delivery addy goes to the authenticator. International sneaks around that process.

If this is for the $525 card that sold today then I do not see the seller offering shipping anywhere other than to the U.S. I would think that the buyer would have to have a U.S. Ship To address. That in turn would mean that the authentication center would be the first stop - is that right?

I believe so. I think whether the AG kicks in or not is based on the address not wherever the buyer is actually located.

No personal experience, but that's where I am at from past readings, so I would be in agreement with you.
I must say that it makes no sense "to not authenticate"......................... no matter where it is going.
