Authenticator has not returned bag

What do I do when I have not received a package from the authenticator?  Would it be insured?  I paid insurance for the product to be shipped to the authenticator.

I don't see any sales of handbags on your account.

How long ago did you sell it? What was the date of shipment? What is the Fedex tracking number of the label ebay sent to ship it?

Was it the Gucci Zumi handbag? 236070084326

I was just wondering how insurance would work if the authenticators were returning it as fake.

Just guessing as a  bit more detail on why the return has happened is needed.

"I was just wondering how insurance would work if the authenticators were returning it as fake."

Maybe the item is forfeited?  It's against the law to ship counterfeit goods.  How do the authenticators sidestep this?

With their track record of being incorrect? I would hope that's not the case. I've never heard of anyone forfeiting designer goods due to 3rd party authentication. They do make mistakes and could be deeming an authentic item as counterfeit.

There was an old myth that an item could be destroyed by the buyer if Paypal or other refunded them for claims of counterfeit but that was a myth.

NOTE: I haven't seen the item in question in the case of this post so I can't comment on it's authenticity but seizing or destroying somebody's property is a very bad idea.

@bennotbill

Thank you for posting the item number. I wonder why it doesn't show in the OP's completed/sold listings.

As for the listing, I have no idea where the package is and what the tracking shows.

Although I don't know Gucci well enough to comment on authenticity, I can say that the listing is very poorly done, both with the lack of pictures and the AI generated description.

I will never understand sellers who don't take advantage of the free pictures ebay allows and as such, they don't show enough details both to prove their own integrity in listing genuine items nor do they reassure buyers with pictures and details so authenticators here and on other purse forums can help verify items.

And I won't even comment on my opinion of descriptions that use AI other than to say they're useless and tell nothing about the actual item.

Oops, I forgot to ask this in my previous post.

Why are you expecting the package from the authenticator? When you sell an AG (authenticity guaranteed) item, you ship to the authenticator then once it passes, they ship it to the buyer. Unless it failed and they return it to you, you don't get it back.

Does tracking show delivery to the authenticator?

If it passes inspection, you get a "your item has been officially authenticated" email. Did you get that?
