I believe that someone stole my shoes at an eBay authentication center in NY. Has anyone ever had this happen?! I am shocked.. I sold some Yeezy Boost sneakers, which I had inspected, and were told were authentic before selling them. The authentication center said they were counterfeit, and said they were sending them back to me, and deducted the profit made from my account. A few days later, I recieved the original box and shoe box EMPTY, no shoes inside. They were $600 shoes. I have contacted eBay about this multiple times, and sent pictures of the empty box, but they do not believe me, and closed the case. The tape was untampered with upon arrival, and had not been opened, so it did not appear to be UPS fault. Any ideas what can be done about this? I wonder if this has happened to anyone else? Definitely makes me think twice about listing expensive items on eBay again.

Yours would not be the first posting like this. You can search the forum for problems/issues with the authentication centers. The biggest problem is there is virtually no way to prove where the theft took place. Its a he said she said situation. Bottom line while most transactions on eBay complete without any issues there are risks and problems. Always go by the #1 seller rule on eBay and that is never list anything you cannot afford to take the financial loss on.

I have seen people complain abut exactly this many times here. Imagine how many do not comment here.
Years ago I would sell items like this on ebay. Not now. Ebay will do nothing. You are out the item and money.

Have you ever actually collected on this USPS "instant" $100 Insurance?
My experience with it is it is worthless and you are not going to collect on it.
